jjm239 1
Okay so I just finished a battle against Punk Macy's Stunky. I had to switch Ralts out for Hoothoot, and it's a 3-hit KO. After the fight, it goes right to her next PKMN, a Trubbish. It is then I realize that I GOT NO EXPERIENCE POINTS OUT OF THAT FIGHT WITH THE STUNKY.
Administrators Amethyst 2466 Posted August 11, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 11, 2013 What move did you KO it with?
jjm239 1
Tackle, I'm pretty sure.
Administrators Amethyst 2466 Posted August 11, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 11, 2013 Maybe it's not linked to the finishing move after all... Goodness, I can't find any sort of pattern to when this happens...

Soysauce 0
Oh come on it's just one or two lines out of 42424242424242 written in a bizarre language, everyone can do it. Maybe it's related with Pokemon abilities, combined with some moves (or not)? Because I don't remember encountering it on my playthrough and grinding, and i don't use the speedhack... Administrators Amethyst 2466 Posted August 16, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 16, 2013 The abilities thing is a good idea but a different report about this happening with only some Unown dispels that- Unown always have levitate It is not dependent on either species, the attack, or the ability. I can rule those things out so far. But what does that leave? IVs? The time spent in the battle? Goodness, I don't even know...
Soysauce 0
Read that post too. That's weird... Wait a sec, can people who had this bug tell us what item your Pokemon was holding ? And do you have Multi exp? If it's related only to exp calculation, maybe it's bugged when the Pokemon has X levels (or i nterm of percentage...) over than the opponent... Woobowiz 0
I am 80% certain it is a bug involving Aftermath and how ending a battle against something with Aftermath will skip the EXP phase entirely. Check it out by killing wild Stunkys, some will give EXP and some won't because of Aftermath.
Pokewatt 0
Yes its the aftermath i just beat Corey's Skuntank and got no EXP.
Eclipse1127 0
I just encountered the same thing, when beating a Stunky with my Combusken. The game immeiately switched to the opponent's Trubbish, and I was also attacked in the same turn. Perhaps it is Aftermath......
ShayminShayna 0
I know this is kind of an arguably old topic at the moment, but I'm having this issue as well. If there are any fixes that anyone has found, please let me know? :c

If there are any fixes that anyone has found, please let me know? :c There is no fix as far as i know, but so far its only against pokemon with aftermath so its no big deal as of now
MikeoLarxe 0
The Exp bug isn't just with pokemon with the aftermath ability cause this happens to me throughout the whole game. not just with one pokemon
Jericho 114
This has never happened to me before, or I've just never noticed it.
LeoG 0
Several instances I know that happen that result in no exp: -Defeating wild Pokemon with the rock move Smack Down. -OHKO Woobats with Thunder Fang. -Randomly... ...sometimes it just happens but there are a couple that will cause a battle to end without exp consistently.
