Next is to wait for someone who could know better about this sort of problem. From my personal experience, even if your PC is weaker, it shouldn't really take away the good of the game, the micro-lags will most likely happen in an open area, and will cease if you get somewhere inside. Just try playing the game, if it gets unbearable try the forums again, but don't expect too much, as the game is fan-made, and it's mentioned few times that the engine is not the most efficient thing against lagging. There's no need to upgrade your PC just for Reborn, I've ran Reborn on an i5 laptop in the past with minimal problems. Only really received lag in Crysolia Forest Link to post Share on other sites

Try having a look at some of your settings, you may find that they may be affecting performance. Also do you have mods installed for Reborn or have any resource demanding programs running in the background? Those could be culprits too Link to post Share on other sites

Pokemon Essentials uses a really outdated version of rpg maker and Reborn being as big as it is doesn't help with that. The lag probably won't go away no matter what you do. CrossImpact 107 Posted May 27, 2019 Share Posted May 27, 2019 the FPS lag is caused on the software's end, to my knowledge there's nothing really you can do about it. I had the same occurence with a GT650M at the time, and that's obviously worlds older than a... mere GTX1080. some areas have a lot of events scripted, like Chrysolia, or the Black Obsidia Park, and Malchous Forest, and probably a couple others. those usually are the affected ones.
