But the thing is I'm not quite sure if tinted lens are working, I know a few abilities in this game aren't working so can anyone clarify if its working or not? Link to post Share on other sites

Candellumin 0 Posted May 5, 2014 Share Posted May 5, 2014 On my recent playthrough, I've been using both Venomoth and Noctowl, both with Tinted Lens. I don't believe it's working correctly. For example, I'd use Psybeam from my Venomoth on a Noibat, and it will deal damage around 40% of the Noibat's HP. Using Bug Buzz should deal almost twice as much factoring STAB and ignoring the x0.5 resistance, but instead deals around the same damage. Link to post Share on other sites

Although I wonder if the math on it is actually correct. It looks like it just doubles the base power if the attack is NVE. I'm not sure if that comes out exactly the same in formula but I certainly can't imagine that it would be as different as you describe. What have others noticed with this ability?
