Ackalacka 0
This isn't a glitch or a bug, but rather a problem I have with a certain aspect of the story in Episode 9... (Obvious spoilers ahead) Now first I would like to say I'm not being a troll and trying to put people down, I really love this game, I'm only writing this to be taken as constructive criticism. Anyway, this is my problem: At the very beginning of the episode the house is being attacked my Team Meteor and Laura asks you to defend the downstairs of the house, which is fine and dandy and all, but then I'm thinking: Wait, why do the others, ESPECIALLY Shelly and Noel, who are gym leaders for Christ's sake, need to hide? Couldn't they defend themselves? They're not that much younger than the player, and again, GYM LEADERS! But I just said "Meh, whatever." and went on with the game. After defeating Sirius you hear Laura scream and he's all like "Go upstairs and help or stay down here and watch me..." I'm thinking "Well, I know Sigmund isn't going to hurt the kids, he's just going to take them with him, so I don't need to rush up there, they're not in a life or death situation. And also, he's going to have to come back down the stairs eventually, and I can just get him then. So I choose to stay down stairs, and then Saphira walks in. And she's all like "Peekaboo bitch." And I'm thinking "YEAH! THERE'S NO WAY EITHER OF THEM ARE GOING TO ESCAPE NOW!" I was even more certain when Sirius backed up into me, he was completely surrounded with no Pokemon to defend himself with, he was practically fucked and we could detain him. Then he says something along the lines of "Oh, I just received word that Sigmund got the kids!" And I'm thinking "Yes, I know that, but he's not taking them anywhere..." Then Sirius... He- he just leaves... My question is: HOW????!?!?!?!?!?!? How in the hell did Sirius and Sigmund escape? Sirius was completely surrounded, Sigmund was stuck up stairs, how did they both just stroll on out of there? I'm just saying, there's no way in hell that Saphira and I would let them escape, especially her... She would go all ballistic on them... Right? Well, I think to myself, "OK, maybe Sirius COULD have escaped I guess, if he was quick enough, but how did Sigmund? As the title states, it makes no sense! I went outside and looked at the upper floor, and the windows were TINY! Like, I doubt even one of the kids (Noel and Anna) could fit through one of them. And I'm sure as hell Sigmund, a grown man, could not fit through one. And there wasn't a hole or something in the wall of the upper floor that maybe one of his Pokemon made, no, he just somehow used magic to teleport out of the building and Sirius went all ninja on us and slipped by (Which given what we know about Saphira, she would NOT let him...) My question is, doesn't this bug anyone else? I'm shocked no one has said anything about this yet, it's just so frustrating... All of the other times a bad guy (or from the players prospective "bad" ;p) escaped there was a reasonable explanation to how they did so, either an unguarded path or they could over power the player and who ever was with him/her... Forgive me if this sounded like ranting, it wasn't meant to be, I'm just pointing out something that should not happen again. As for the rest of the Episode, it was f***ing awesome. c: Great battles and story telling and all of that good stuff, and I can't wait for Episode 10. < (I was sweating during the part when you had to pretend to be a member of Team Meteor, that would be terrifying in real life...) I would probably break out of character and go all THIS: On them (it would probably end the same way too, with me getting tazed and beat the crap out of...) (Also, yes, the Fus Ro Dah version, because I feel like it...) P.S., let me know what you guys think. Does this bug you too? Do you have a different opinion than me? I'd love to completely ignore it and insult you as a person- I-I mean... Um... Respectively listen to your thoughts and mold my own opinion out of what you guys/girls tell me... Ehehehehehehh, ehhhh... Seriously though, I'd love some other ideas. <
Ackalacka 0
Also, that cliff hanger and sneak peak... -.-" By that I mean they were good, so good they made me frustrated, but in a good way...
Administrators Amethyst 2466 Posted July 29, 2013 Administrators Share Posted July 29, 2013 Well... they are experimenting with teleportation.
Ackalacka 0
And so far they have been extremely unsuccessful. I knew you were going to bring that up, I just knew it. -.-" There's no way they could have focused the Abra's power to do that, there's simply no way... -.-" Whatever. Perhaps I'm taking this all too seriously... Crazy plot twist: Sigmund is actually Dumbledore. That will be 9.95$ to use that idea. I'll be expecting my check in the mail in the next few days, thank you.
Ussi 0
This is nothing new and a staple to the pokemon series.
Ackalacka 0
But Reborn isn't a part of the official Pokemon series. <:3 It's different, it's harder, better, faster and stronger. See the Daft Punk reference I did there? Well, I appreciated it... Anyway, unlike the official Pokemon games, Reborn is: But enough of that, let me be serious now. What I'm really trying to say is Reborn is different, because it's more realistic (in a specific sense anyway...). I expected more from this game, from a Pokemon game from GameFreak I wouldn't have thought twice about it... In this game however, it bothers me.
Motomiya 28
That's all HIGHLY logical, and I agree, there's no way Sirius could have escaped, but as for the window theory... In Pokemon, there's no logical scaling. I had a few examples in my head but I can't remember, but SURELY you know what I'm talking about. Since the scaling is so illogical, you should not try to imply that he couldn't fit through it. What's more, who's to say that he couldn't bust a hole through the wall to escape? As for Sirius, I remembered that the left and right weren't covered. There was only Sapphira in back and you in front. He could have physically pushed the player, and ran up the stairs, and out the same window or hole in the wall that Sigmund created and escaped on his own. In addition to those previous points, there's no one who can say there aren't any grunts who are used for just escaping, who've got teams full of abra JUST for something like that. To sum up my argument, there are too many unknown variables. It's impossible for it to NOT make sense, provided you use your noggin a little.
Ackalacka 0
Hmmm... Well, I guess you make some good points, but this whole thing still bugs me. The fact you actually have to think of logical explanations of how they escaped rather than just having one presented to you in the game is stupid... I stand by everything I said. Administrators Amethyst 2466 Posted July 31, 2013 Administrators Share Posted July 31, 2013 The main series, as mentioned, glosses over the particulars of movement and exiting constantly. Since the methods of their escape were not quite so important, and in fact explaining those details would only complicate things and as such potentially confuse the player, I didn't feel it worth extrapolating. That's the long and short of it. If it comes to pass that it does bother many people, then it would have to be changed.
Twist 0
I laughed out loud. It seems you got seriously psyched! Let me just say that I am thoroughly impressed with this plot. I love these characters so much, they truly bring "character" to the game (more Cain, please ) but even so what I love most are also the details this game has in accordance to a whole lot of things. So in this case, I have to agree with Ackalacka that a fresh hole in the wall of the upstairs area after the twins' capture would make a good difference. I have to admit, this point in the plot seemed just a tiiiiiinyy tiny bit forced. Laura IS an elite four, after all - even if the 'good doctor' attacked her directly, it's a bit doubtful her pokemon couldn't defend her. I would have liked to see Team Meteor be one step ahead in that scenario and have Aster and Eclipse bomb their way through the back, ambush Laura as she is distracted by the doc, and steal the kids. As for Sirius, he DID "clip [sephira's] wings." I just assumed her Dragonite was out of commission for that time and Sirius escaped cause he's a boss. Not sure if this explanation satisfies you but it did satisfy me!
GenshiD 0
There is a more simple, yet more confusing possibility...Sigmund and Sirius used Escape Rope XD
