truemaster 0 Posted July 27, 2013 Share Posted July 27, 2013 hey i have a problem. i played episode 8 on a mac with wine before. i made it work by deleting all the music files. But it doesn't seem to work with this new episode when i delete the music files. i get a error saying "Script ‘PokemonUtilities” line 1230: TypeError occurred. Cannot convert nil into String". Please let me know if anyone figured out how to make the game work on mac. Thanks. Link to post Share on other sites

Between episode 8 and 9 the window frame and speech frames were changed, and it seems like this error happens whenever a message box appears. So my idea is- load up the Episode 8 thing if you have it still, and go into options, and choose a different (probably the default??) window/speech frame things. Then see if the Episode 9 ones work. Load your file, change your options to set the frames to 1, touch nothing but the lamp, save, and then it should be playable with the real Episode 9. http://www.pokemonreborn.com/FrameResetter.zip Link to post Share on other sites
truemaster 0 Posted July 28, 2013 Author Share Posted July 28, 2013 So I tried changing the frames back to 1 in the dummy version and saved. But when I started playing on episode 9, the game crashed whenever I started talking to NPC's. I guess there's something wrong with playing this on a mac if people on windows can play it :/ Let me know if it's been fixed though! Thanks Link to post Share on other sites
