Charlotte's Battle: Desolate Land switch into Primordial Rain

So i went to fight charlotte with a team that had   primal kyogre and primal groudon in it.

I lead with   Primal Groudon + Xerneas.  I want to bait the opponent into using fire moves, so  i switch my groudon out for  the Primal Kyogre.

What happened is that they used fire moves,  and they worked through Primordial Rain, when they shouldn't be.

I tried again,  leading with  P.Kyogre + Xerneas this time.   This time, the opponents didn't bother with fire moves, and instead used other coverage. I also got a mon with a fire move to try and make sure, and indeed fire moves  were correctly prevented.

So something goes wrong when the weather changes from Harsh Sunlight to Primordial rain,  and i don't know i it is only with charlotte's  field,  or a general issue.

I sent a small recording to Marcello about that too.

doesn't it trigger change to Rainbow Field? I think that field acts as though there wasn't sun or rain but not too sure. it'd make sense that when you lead with P.Kyogre there's only primordial rain but when you switch in after setting harsh sunlight, you'd get rainbow field 🤔

If it's rainbow then Cloud Nine might be in effect or something. It's hard to remember what these fields do sometimes. You didn't have Cloud Nine or another weather effecting ability, did you? As for the Rainbow Field, the weather is the timer for how long that field lasts and I believe the effects are normal on it. It's in the field doc somewhere on my computer.

There could be not be Rainbow Field in this case because DemIce didn't mention that Groudon and Kyogre were present in the field at the same time. He just paired them with a Xerneas and another mon that weren't Groudon I guess. Correct me if I'm wrong ^^

Heavy Rain and Harsh Sunlight weathers doesn't last when these legendaries are switched out. So, replacing Groudon by Kyogre could not trigger the Rainbow Field in the first case described.

But when they're brought together at the same turn, the slower pokemon will activate its ability the last. It should create the Rainbow Field too in a Reborn battle I guess.

Something is bothering me right now. Let's say that these two legendaries are brought together in the field and that Groudon is slower, there will be a Harsh Sunlight weather. But, then, if Groudon is switched out while Kyogre is still present, the weather will return to normal. So, should the Rainbow field stop in this case?
