FPS drop in the city

I am having a problem when playing the game,when I am out in the city the frame rate drops so bad where movement is really laggy,

I believe the problem could be the night time tone(look) of the city, because if i am in a building and during battles it is fine, but once i go back out to the city portion it gets really choppy.

Is there a way to disable it or something? I really would like to play this game I have heard good things about it,but with what I am experiencing it makes it a bit difficult to play.

It isn't actually the night tone, I have a couple topics about what exactly causes lag and why it's difficult to solve. Basically, it's just because the city is soo huge and the game has too much of it loaded at once. :x

understandable, there I do know of some neat anti lag scripts for RMXP if you are interested in trying them out, and see if they can work with the game.

Its 2 years later and the problem doesnt seem te be fixed. Does it help to apoint more memory to the game?
