Keala 7
During an online battle, me and my opponent encountered a very weird issue with a pokèmon's speed during a SPECIFIC scenario. What exactly happened is that a Naganadel knocked down a Comfey and by doing so getting a +1 speed boost, only to get outsped by a mere Mega Beedrill the next turn. Here you can see Mega Beedrill outspeeding Naganadel (I know the Naganadel in the screenshots below is shiny and the one displayed here is not, but I can assure you it's the very same Naganadel, not just the name) Spoiler It's worth pointing out that after this we were somewhat confused, so we did a couple of tests. Test #1: We battled again ONLY to check if this "bug" was going to happen again for no reason without doing the previous part of tha battle. The test only included the use of the 3 pokèmons mentioned above. I send out Comfey and let it die to Naganadel to let it receive a boost, then I send Beedrill, megaevolve it and Naganadel correctly outsped it, which means something must have happened in the last battle to make Beedrill be faster OR make Naganadel Slower. Test #2: We tried recreating the same exact battle to see if the "bug" happened again. and it did. All the details are shown in the spoiler tags. Down here are the exact steps since the start of the battle till the point we decided something was not definitely right. Spoiler Field: Snowy Mountain (random) Turn 0 Keala (me) sends out Comfey Blackpoi sends out Sableye Turn 1 Keala: Comfey uses Grassy Terrain -> Field is changed to Grassy Terrain Blackpoi: Sableye megaevolves and uses Will-O-Wisp -> Comfey is burned Turn 2 Keala: Comfey uses Taunt -> It gets bounced back to myself (yes I don't know anything about Sableye, okay?) Blackpoi: Sableye uses Knock Off -> Comfey loses Aplified rock. Damage done: roughly 15-20% Turn 3 Keala: Switched Comfey, Goodra sent out Blackpoi: Sableye uses Foul Play -> Damage done: roughly 40% Turn 4 Keala: Goodra uses Sludge Wave -> Field is changed to Corrosive Field. Damage done: roughly 15% Blackpoi: Sableye uses Knock Off -> Damage done: roughly 40% Turn 5 Keala: Goodra uses Dragon Pulse -> Damage done: roughly 40% Blackpoi: Sableye uses Foul Play -> Goodra faints, Keala sends out Hawlucha, Hawlucha gets +1 attack boost and baneful bunker thanks to the Elemental Seed Turn 6 Keala: Hawlucha uses Swords Dance -> Hawlucha goes to +3 attack boost Blackpoi: Sableye uses Recover -> Sableye is almost full HP Turn 7 Keala: Hawlucha uses Acrobatics, Sableye faints (OHKO), Blackpoi sends out Mandibuzz Turn 8 Keala: Hawlucha uses Acrobatics -> Damage done: roughly 80%, Hawlucha suffers damage from Rocky Helmet Blackpoi: Mandibuzz uses Foul Play -> Damage done: roughly 80% (almost dead). Field is changed to no-field (the 8 turn Grassy Terrain ended) Turn 9 Keala: Hawlucha uses Acrobatics -> Mandibuzz faints, Hawlucha faints due to damage from Rocky Helmet, Keala sends out Comfey, Blackpoi sends out Naganadel Turn 10 (Comfey shouldn't outspeed Naganadel, Taunt doesn't gain benefit from Triage) Keala: Comfey uses Taunt Blackpoi: Naganadel uses Sludge Wave -> Comfey faints, Naganadel receives a +1 speed boost from Beast Boost, Keala sends out Beedrill Turn 11 (Mega Beedrill shouldn't outspeed Naganadel,+1 Speed Naganadel is much faster than Mega beedrill) Keala: Beedrill megavolves and uses Drill Run -> Naganadel faints Down here are the EVs, IVs, Nature, Item and Ability for each relevant pokèmon used in the battle. Spoiler asdasd Blackpoi's Sableye and Naganadel (if Mandibuzz is required aswell, I'll ask for a screenshot, but I doubt it's needed, the main problems are Beedril and Naganadel anyway) Keala's Comfey, Goodra, Hawlucha and Beedrill If I forgot to mention anything, I'll share whatever else is left. Walpurgis 501
The first thing that comes to mind is some kind of unburden bug where the speed bost is carried over to other pokemon.
