anfneub 0
Spoiler Hello, Probably it's just me being a real dumbass, but when espeon is still prisoner and moves the stack of glass so that you can smash the windows again and go save him, I can't smash the windows because I left my rock smash pokemon in the PC and I can't go get it again because the path is now blocked by said glass. I explored from there, but I ouldn't find any other PC around and the only solution seem to teach Rock Smash to a pokemon in my team, although I'd rather avoid that. I can't even exit the fabric with escape rope or anything...

Considering the only reason you are stuck is because you are unwilling to do an in game means of progressing, the situation provided however does show a highly unlikely but theoretically possible situation where someone gets stuck with 6 pokemon unable to use Rock Smash at that point, but keep in mind since they had to use Rock Smash earlier why would anyone withdraw a rock smashing pokemon from their team? which is why i say highly unlikely. At best if you are stuck unless you teach rock smash to one of your current pokemon it could be an oversight of the possible unlikely situation where all 6 pokemon can't learn it. But i'm not a moderator or such so my word aint that important, but still given you in your situation CAN proceed but don't want to do what you need to do, i doubt anyone will directly intervene with your save file, if you have a pokemon that knows a move that can be taught by one of your TMs and can also learn Rock Smash then just take advantage of that to teach Rock Smash, break the window, then replace Rock Smash with the move that Rock Smash temporarily replaced
Global Mods Dreamblitz 1056 Posted August 12, 2018 Global Mods Share Posted August 12, 2018 Spoiler Technically, the fact that it's possible to get cut off from your PC without a possible rock smash mon makes this a valid fatal error. but in your case specifically; Just teach rock smash to one of your pokemon that can learn it. if any of the mons that can learn it have a TM move currently, you can just freely swap between them because TMX moves like rock smash can still be forgotten freely

The latter are usually weak pokemons which know moves such as Cut, Surf, Fly, Rock Smash itself, and more. Since I had to fight Team Meteor right after breaking a hole in the window, I went back to the PC and switched the current utility team with a battle one, where none of the pokemon indeed knew Rock Smash. I then pursued the game with my battle formation given the likeliness of more fights. Luckily I currently have a pokemon in my team which can learn Rock Smash and I am able to continue the game without external assistance. The point of my post was to raise awareness about a possible issue in case someone did my same mistake and by chance did not have a pokemon knowing Rock Smash or able to learn it, thus resulting in that person being blocked from continuing the intended story path and ultimately preventing that person from needing further assistance. Hoping I did clarify the problem I incurred within and established that it is indeed a possible, however unlikely, fatal error, I wish everyone involved in the conversation a pleasant Sunday.
