[Fixed] E18 got stuck

I just battled Shelly Cain and the meteor members, and now I am where all the starters are, when I click on the pokeballs there is "there's no will to fight" written, even when I click on my starter... Help pleaseee

Alright so I helped out someone with this issue earlier.  They told me that they selected squirtle as their starter, so when I went to select squirtle, nothing happened and I received the same text as all the other starters.  So, I went into RMXP and checked the variable for starter choice, which was 11, as you might expect from someone who chose squirtle as a starter.  According to RMXP, that is the value that allows you to select squirtle to continue, so I was confused as to why things weren't working.  So, knowing that the variable for selecting Bulbasaur is 1, I changed the starter choice variable to 1 and tried selecting bulbasaur, which resulted in the same thing.  So, not exactly sure what else to do, I went and refreshed the map (I did not return the variable to 11, but kept it at 1), and then selected bulbasaur, and things continued (red flash, tables disappear, etc., you know the drill).  Below is the file in the same state it was sent to me, so you can play around with it as you wish.

EDIT: I’m completely blind ignore me, didn’t see the file was posted already.

 

Looks like there’s a common link with Squirtle at least...

Sorry for double post but for the sake of clarity, I went to go fix their save file and played around a little bit (though not much cause I have a place to be soon).

I followed a similar idea of changing the variable to 1 and refreshing the map then going for bulbasaur.  Wondering if refreshing the map was all that was necessary, I changed the variable back to 11 for squirtle and refreshed again, yet suddenly none of the starters could be selected.  So, low on time and needing to leave in a moment, I just went back to change the variable to 11, refreshed, selected bulbasaur, and it worked.  I'll try to play around with different variables and what not when I have more time later tonight.

Found the issue despite it being right in front of my face. @Marcello

The third set of conditions says that if the start variable is >2 then it will give the "there is no will to fight dialogue," instead of >12.  So essentially every person who chose Squirtle is going to need to get their save fixed.
