Pulling Animated Sprites

Pretty sure as of the next episode I'm going to cut offering the Animated Sprite download pack...

A good 40% of the error reports I get are the script hanging error caused by computers not being able to keep up with them. That can be really frustrating for players, and even worse, I know there are a lot of people encountering that issue and not reporting it. At that point, I feel like it's not worth continuing to offer the animations if it's going to ruin the game for a random population of players.

In addition, this also paves the way for me to do some alterations that I had wanted to do before, and also opens the door for possibly getting 6th gen sprites in if artists make static versions of them.

Those are my thoughts on the issue. If anyone has any objections, counterpoints, other thoughts, etc, I'd be interested in hearing them.

Hm. I'm sure some players would like to keep the animated sprites (I'm sure some people have good enough computers to run them), but they aren't really necessary, and I'm sure there are only a handful of players who use the animated sprites anyway. It's not like it adds much to the game either.

That being said, I have no objections. I can try to help make static sprites, if you can't find anyone to do it. o:

Is this a decent way of explaining how to fix the error? I figured maybe somebody would stumble across this and be able to use it, thus reducing the amount of posts on here about it.

That's really cool, I appreciate you putting in the effort to make something like that for everyone

I will probably link that video from the FAQ, however I think I am still going to have to cut support for it just to prevent these issues from happening in the first place. It can be really frustrating when you become essentially forced to lose a battle because the opponents team was healed and yours wasn't. I would rather avoid having to break the gameplay like that in the first place.
