Audio problems

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that you downloaded the Update pack instead of the full game. The update pack is the same thing without the music to save download time. So, you'll have to download the full one.

...internet, y u eat my response tho

Okay, well, first, make sure the audio files are in Pokemon Reborn/Audio/BGM

Secondly, in-game, press F1 and make sure the box to mute the music isn't checked.

Assuming both of those are true, does the game still play sound effects, or is it completely silent?

The game plays the sound effects just fine. All of the audio files are in the bgm folder. I pressed F1 and the boxes "Play BGM and BGS" are both checked. I even got to the part where you get the mp3 player and the music does not play. Actually NO music plays.

If you try to play the files in the BGM folder with something like Windows Media Player, do they have sound there?

*grasping at straws at this point for anything that might be a tangible issue...*

Okay. Um. Does music work for other games made with RMXP? You might browse Pokecommunity's forums to find one to try if you don't know where else to look to test.

Because I guess that would tell us if it's your computer, or this game.

well, kill me.

this is particularly frustrating because that rules out it being your computer. on the other hand, you're the first person i've heard of to have this problem, and obviously I can't reproduce the error to fix it... So, I apologise, firstly,

Secondly, I think my options at this point are limited to... I can wait and see if anyone else encounters this problem, and try and identify some common theme between them and figure out what's going on that way. In that case I can just send a message to your forum email if I ever make any headway on it.

But this is really quite frustrating, and I'm sorry that I don't know what to do just now...

I have also recently encountered this problem and found a solution, if you followed the tutorial when he told you to extract it don't. simply open up your file and you should see the Pokemon Reborn file just simply drag the file to your desktop and all the audio is fixed.

I think I may have a solution to this incredibly difficult problem, but it's not confirmed and might only have worked for me. I recently downloaded a hentai flash game and when I finished extracting it, I couldn't get it to play at all. I looked it up and I heard from multiple forums that I needed a specific codex update to play it. I downloaded the codex and installed it and I still couldn't play my hentai game =(. By some odd chance when I started my Pokemon Reborn client I had audio amazingly after not having it for 3 weeks and trying everything you all have said. I seriously think that codex I downloaded allowed the audio files to work for me and it might possibly work for you too. I'll give a link to the one I downloaded. (Not the hentai game of course LOL)

I downloaded the Standard Pack. Hope this helps, if not i'm out of ideas.
