So, I have a habit. I love abusing the speed up button. Mostly whenever it's not story related and I have to do side quests. Even on wild encounters I speed up the game and immediately bring it back to normal when the battle ends. I was in the route 1 area with all the Tauros/Buffolaunt. I was riding a Tauros when I sped up the game and went into a wild battle. I had an Ampharos out. The controls stopped working. I was pressing A but nothing was happening. So I slowed down the game and pressed B. After 10 seconds the game became responsive again. I didn't speed up anymore and ended the battle and the game was running normally again.

 

So I hope that speeding up the game doesn't actually cause huge crashes or cause progress to be lost. Just wanted to inform that this happened because I don't know whether it's actually serious or not. Thanks.

@Zander what are you using to speed up the game by the way? The alt button? Because I abuse it too, I'm CONSTANTLY using that button xD; maybe it's because you shift between high speed and normal speed: try to keep the game at high speed or at normal speed the whole time and see if it happens again.

That just happends sometimes, it temporarilly freezes. Nothing to worry about. Wait a few seconds and it's working again :)

Yep it's the alt button. It's a huge convenience and I just happen to use it too much.

Alright thanks, I'm glad it's not a huge issue. Would have hated for the game to crash because of the speed up button.

Then yes, just as rakky said, nothing bad should happen, I get some bugs too because of that too
