Hempesis 0
Whenever I try to open it up it has a black screen and a pop-up window shows up saying "The program has stopped working". I re-extracted it a few times, got a working copy from my brother, and re-downloaded it all with the same result. Is there a fix for this or am I doomed? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit
Administrators Amethyst 2466 Posted May 30, 2013 Administrators Share Posted May 30, 2013 It's per computer rather than download. Although that was usually 'RGSS player has stopped working...' This is definitely new. The OS itself is probably not the problem, but that doesn't leave a whole lot of option. Do you know if you can run other games made with RMXP? Hempesis 0
Sorry, it was RGSS player, not program. I was running from memory I should have double checked before I made a post. I'm not sure if I can. Is the program free/ you know of any games made with that program?
Administrators Amethyst 2466 Posted May 30, 2013 Administrators Share Posted May 30, 2013 Okay, if it is RGSS then that doesn't matter. That's definitely a computer-specific issue and we haven't found any real way or definitive solution. There are a few things to try. For starters, I found this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Change-Data-Execution-Prevention-settings Let me know if that helps, and if not we'll try the next thing.
