R1 Narrative break w/ Titania mid-restoration

For context, I've beaten Adrienn but haven't yet gone to the desert to fight Titania. More relevantly, I sorted out the Water Treatment Centre long ago after the diary and PULSE Swalot shenanigans. Reborn City has been mostly returned to it's former glory. Titania and I clearly know each other.

 

It appears I didn't trigger the cutscene with Titania in R1 (Tauros route) when first going through to visit Radomus. While going back just now while exploring I triggered the cutscene where she's speaking to a Team Meteor Grunt in a little forest tunnel. She appeared as ???. I remember this cutscene as one that's meant to happen before we officially meet her during Agate  (this is my second play through), so there's a little narrative break.

I wonder how did that happen. There's a switch that supposedly disables that event when you meet Titania in Fiore Mansion.

I'm not sure. I haven't used any mods on any of my playthrough files. I did take a rather long break between episodes 15 and 17 that might be relevant, though. I downloaded E15 originally, played through on the file to the point just before I fight Radomus, but updated to E17 before continuing with the playthrough. When I went through R1 the first time in E15 I didn't trigger the cutscene, so perhaps E17 had some of E15's "memories"?

 

I have also had a few instances of E15 and E17 overlapping in summon items/event Pokemon as well. In E15 I obtained Ralts and Zorua through natural side-questing. I had both on my team before I updated to the current episode, and had the side-quests completed. But it seems Ralts was pushed back between episodes 15 and 17 and I was able to obtain the Corrupted Pokeball as one would in E17 and trigger the event for Zorua again despite having done so already. Long story short, I have a few summon item dupes I can't use because the quests were already completed and a few duplicate event Pokemon.

 

I think that might be the problem. Titania was supposed to be there in E15. Perhaps she spawned then and that caused this switch you mentioned not to activate? Or the switch was already flipped.

I think that might be the problem. Titania was supposed to be there in E15. Perhaps she spawned then and that caused this switch you mentioned not to activate? Or the switch was already flipped.
