[Resolved]Can't interact with anything

I'm up to Blake's apartment, storywise. After saying no to all his demands for the Ruby Ring possessed by the main character, Blake snatches it and takes off. After that, Shelly talks about figuring something out. I try interacting with the objects in Blake's apartment, but nothing's happening. I press 'a' on literally everything in his apartment, but there's no reaction at all. Only Shelly reacts. I checked a video showing that you're suppposed to get some dialogue after pressing 'a' on an object, but the same isn't happening for me. Actually, this also happened during the Crustle puzzle; I couldn't press 'a' on the sleeping Crustle after I did it once before, so I had to refer to a back up save. However, I can't refer to a different back up save this time because the same problem starts all over again when I redo the Blake snatching the ring scene. What do I do?

Branching paths.

Go outside of the building, you'll find someone. Talk to them and then you'll be able to interact with the room.

 

Ok I just opened your save and it seems you are stuck for real, let me figure this out.

 

Somehow you were past Shelly when you are supposed to be behind her (????) but now you are free. Go outside the building to continue the story.

Yup, I just went outside (silly me, how could I not realize that? ) and Shelly started speaking. But what was "stuck?" I'm not seeing much difference with the save you sent me and the save from before.

In the save you posted the hallway was obstructed by Shelly.
