Max808 0 Posted January 10, 2018 Share Posted January 10, 2018 I just tried using unburden with a positive speed nature Sceptile against a weavile npc I ran the Weavile's speed state through a generator and determined that it's highest speed state if fully iv'd and ev'd would be 300 sooo why can my unburdened Sceptile with 259 spd, outspeed it?(Btw thanks sooo much for putting npc's in the pokemon center they are so much fun to battle and grinding is...not fun lol) but I just I should let you guys know cuz....a problem is a problem Ps. I'm trying to use a grass gem to trigger unburden Your post is kind of ambiguous, I don't know who outspeed who, but I'm going to assume that you meant to ask why can't your Sceptile outspeed. Unburden doubles the speed so 259 speed results in 518 speed, so you should always outspeed the Weavile unless: You switched out Sceptile at some point after activating the gem, resetting the effects of unburden. Weavile used priority (ice shard?). You didn't activate the gem. So if none of those three things happened then unburden is broken and doesn't work. Link to post Share on other sites

It would be safe to assume it is broken, at least for me due to the fact that none of the three occured and I ruled out getting outsped due to a choice scarf. I calculated and unless the calculation for the speed buff is higher than 1.5 times there is still a problem, and no it wasn't on a speacial feild It was a battle against an npc in the pokemon center.
