Filthy Casual 176 Posted December 12, 2017 Share Posted December 12, 2017 So whenever I try and go online with my Alolan Sandslash in my party, I get this message: This only happens if Alolan Sandslash is in the party. I decided to check and see if I had any illegal moves on my Sandslash. However, all moves on it have been legal, and taught either through level up (I caught it as a Sandshrew) or through Move Tutor. I'm not sure if it's a mistake or not, but I figured I'd post here just in case. Link to post Share on other sites
Global Mods Dreamblitz 1056 Posted December 12, 2017 Global Mods Share Posted December 12, 2017 I'm guessing swords dance is triggering it, as it's a TM move from an unreleased TM. however this is a bug I think as Alolashrew learns it, but official pages list it as a TM move and not a pre-evo move which I'm guessing why its not currently flagged as a legal move for it. I just came to report that egg moves are giving that message (and I just checked and Icicle Crash is an egg move for A-sandshrew). In my case, I bred A-vulpix with moonblast, encore and freeze-dry, and any of those moves in the moveset triggered the message. Link to post Share on other sites

Idk why they list evolutions' moves as egg moves xD Also in that case I agree with DreamblitzX, since I read on another post that unavailable TM moves are being rejected regardless of whether the pokemon can learn it naturally Link to post Share on other sites

The illegal mon system was checking the movelist of the wrong formes for both Egg Moves, and also for pre-evo only moves (In this case, for example, the issue was Iron Head, which is a pre-evo move.)
