[Fixed] Gym Leaders switching out pokemon constantly?(E17)

I am not sure if I am only seeing gym leaders do this because they have 6 pokemon so its more likely to happen but what I have been seeing is that I cause a pokemon to faint, they switch to the worst possible option on their team, and then they switch to something else that turn. Let me give an example of what happened.

I am vsing the second gym leader. I cause her first pokemon to faint with a swoobat, game tells me she wants to switch to breloom(note she has 5 pokemon left).

I stay in, she switches to Breloom and then immediately switches to a different pokemon before I oneshot it with air cutter. This repeats itself 3 times before she is down to her cradily and breloom where she switches to breloom and actually attempts to use a attack that turn.

I am thinking it has to do with the times when I 1 shot a pokemon but I am not sure.

thank for reporting! could you also give us more info if you rember : which moves did you use, did you switch out etc. did you only use a swoobat in the battle or?

I only used swoobat until she sent her last pokemon, cradily because swoobat ended up 1shoting 5 pokemon because they were all grass types(atleast from what i remember). This also happened to me in the first gym and I did not have air cutter at that point so its not move specific i believe. Definitely think it has to do with a pokemon getting KOed in 1 hit. Sorry for the late reply btw, completely forgot to check if someone replied.

I can back this as well.

My first pokemon was a Torracat and all I did was Fire fanging her team. It left maractus with like one hp. Florina used a potion. I used fire fang again and it left her with almost no hp. She switches to Ferrothorn, which gets one shotted by fire fang. She sends out the almost dead maractus and uses her second potion before getting fanged again. She then switches to her breloom which gets dragged down to like two hp, then she switches to her cottonee. exactly same thing happens as she switches back to breloom which dies.

 

I apologize for the horrible wording of this paragraph. I don't feel too well, but needless to say. Florina continued like this doing absolutely nothing until only her cradily was left but then it turned into a 6v1.

Julia was the complete opposite, she switched as a smart choice (As did many other trainers) So I'm guessing something is wrong with her Ai. Hope this help in some way. Do note that the only move I ever used was fire fang (And Ember once) and only the torracat until the cradily was left.

I would like to add that I just discovered that this is not just a gym leader thing and I just encountered it against the Doctor's servants(part of the game after you beat the bug gym leader where you save heather).
