HahnSolo 24 Posted November 22, 2017 Share Posted November 22, 2017 I get notices every time I attempt to log into the online portion due to a warning saying one or more members of my party contain moves not yet implemented in-game. I did some trial and error and found it I had 2 'unimplemented' moves. The game didn't like that my espeon had psychic or that my sceptile had leaf storm. Both of these mons are available in-game and learn those moves naturally through leveling up through. Has anyone else run into these incompatibilities? Is there any known fixes to this? I appreciate any feedback. Thanks! Mr. Finn 256 Posted November 22, 2017 Share Posted November 22, 2017 What are the other Pokemon in your party? What are the moves of them? You can't have a Pokemon with moves it can't learn on Reborn as of yet, like a Metagross with Earthquake; or Pokemon with illegal moves in any situation (being illegal on Reborn or not), like a Charizard with Meteor Mash. Of course the last example won't ever exist, except if someone changes the PBS files to get a Meteor Mash on Charizard, which means the game will be broken. I hope it helped. Take care! Perhaps if you laid out your team and their movesets we would be able to see if there were any other problems you were perhaps missing. Link to post Share on other sites

This is strange, it seems to be registering the fact the TM is unavailable, even though Espeon can learn this by levelup, that's strange, I was sure I'm made sure it didn't do stuff like this... However Hooligan's observation is accurate- I do believe Calm Mind was unavailable in E16. As for Sceptile, I don't reclal whether or not Substitute was available in E16, but off the top of my head Dragon Pulse was NOT available to it in the episode - The tutor for that move isn't yet available at the end of E16. If you want to breed a Treecko with Dragon Breath, it's possible, but no Dragon Pulse is possible through breeding for this Pokemon, as what Marcello said. Link to post Share on other sites

So these are likely the sources of the issue. Calm mind makes sense, as I got the TM from Radomus right after the release of the episode. The wiki states that Radomus now gives TM92 (Trick Room), which I don't have. There is a tutor in the peridot ward that teaches dragon pulse though. Been there since I got E16 to my knowledge. Could be related to how old the save file is. I haven't touched any game files with the exception of moving saves around. I did some more testing and it turns out charizard with dragon pulse causes the same error, which is why I got the incompatible moves wrong. Whoops. I guess I can just remove those moves until end-game or future episodes. Thanks for the help! Link to post Share on other sites

I'm uncertain as to what exact event causes the 3rd vendor to appear, but i believe it is triggered by upgrading either the railnet, slums, or nature center. It's bizarre that dragon pulse would cause that error message. See if gunk shot or any of the others cause the same message to display. OR it might not be dragon pulse at all. Also, how does your Charizard know roost? It only learns that move by tm, and that tm is unavailable as far as I'm aware. Lastly, perhaps the Sceptile problem is actually caused by giga drain? Sceptile only learns giga drain by Move Tutor (a giga drain tutor is not in the game yet), even though Treecko learns giga drain by level up. That's kind of a unique circumstance, so it might be causing that error to display. These are two isolated cases, but it may mean dragon pulse might not be the culprit. You're right with the roost TM. I can't remember for the life of me where I got it from though. The save file is 4 years old. Maybe a pick up item thats since been switched to something else? I doubt it could be causing issues though, since I taught my crobat (Who can only learn it through TM) roost and never had any issues with the online with him on my team. As for Giga Drain, there is actually a tutor on 7th street that teaches it, along with knock off and various other good moves. She was added in E16 i think. Link to post Share on other sites

I chain-bred Freeze-Dry onto my A.Vulpix, and had the same problem. I also saw someone who had the same issue after breeding an A.Vulpix with Moonblast. Link to post Share on other sites
