[Resolved]Game crashes before it starts (RGSS Player has stopped working)

Not sure if this counts as a bug on Reborn's part, but everytime I try to start the game I immediately get an error pop-up that says "RGSS Player has stopped working" and it closes the program after I exit. I've tried this with every version of Reborn that I still have on my laptop, but I always get the same pop-up. I've even downloaded the latest version (16.2) twice already trying to fix the problem. However, when I open up Rejuvenation there are no problems.

I'm trying my best to ix whatever's going on on my end, but I'm not too good with solving PC problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I think, you have to check the Reborn FAQ and try the data execution prevention technique: http://www.rebornevo.com/index.php?/pr/gamefaq/

Thanks for the Link, Paul, but I've tried following the instructions

and I'm still getting the same error screen. I'm not sure what's changed to stop it from working,

but I'll keep at it to see if I can make some headway

Thanks again, mate

Did you restart your pc after DE?

I didn't. Crap.

I'll check it out and get back

Good yet embarrassing news! Turns out I was following the wrong instructions

for my version of Windows and that's why none of my attempts worked (figured that out after 5 restarts).

I got it all straightened out now. Thanks for all the help!
