LynxBach 0 Posted September 22, 2017 Share Posted September 22, 2017 Hey So I am REALLY sorry if this isn't where this would go, but I've never used any sort of forum before. Anyways, Reborn is kinda laggy on my computer to begin with, whatever. BUT I was trying to play yesterday and I was doing the wonder trade for a bit, got some pokes, traded some more blah blah blah. I closed down the trade to check the pokes, and when I tried to log back into the Pokegear in order to trade more my game crashed with the message it was taking to long to respond! Then a small window pops up and says the script is hanging. I'm not sure what to do, and I've tried to sign into the online stuff a few more times since then but no luck! Can anyone help, or recommend something that I can try? Link to post Share on other sites
mde2001 236 Posted September 22, 2017 Share Posted September 22, 2017 Script hanging errors can be hard to identify a direct cause of, but they often are caused by having too much stuff running on your computer simultaneously, so if you could maybe try closing down other programs and see if that fixes anything. Are you still getting the error message every time you open the game, because if so you can upload your save file (instructions here) and I should be able to stop that from happening. Developers Marcello 436 Posted September 26, 2017 Developers Share Posted September 26, 2017 The only thing I know that can cause script hanging is a poor internet connection, but even that shouldn't be happening consistently like this. The only other thing I can think of is try logging in with a different account, it shouldn't be this but if that works and your usual account still doesn't, let me know because it would mean an older bug that we thought had been fixed. I had the saved games file open and before my game crashed it added a new save file. The file name looks identical to the usual save file but it has .bak added at the end of it. Game.rxdata.bak Game.rxdata I tested it and nothing happened, it just worked normally (I obviously logged with my own account, so maybe try registering a new online account as Marcello said and if that solves the problem let him know). As soon as I click for the Online part of Pokegear my game crashes. I don't get to join even so I don't think it's my account stuff.
