highonpotenuse 3
I am about 95 percent sure that my Hawlucha Unburden is not raising my speed times two. I am running flying gem with acrobatics. My speed stat is currently 192 at level 75. I am going up against Zel. I activated his ability then KO'd Aurorus. Zel sent out Alakazam and proceeded to outspeed me. This is just one example, but is has been happening to me since Samson. Is there any chance Zels Alakazam has 400 speed at level 74?

It might be possible that Zel's Alakazam has either good IVs or is EV trained in speed.
Anstane 71
Unburden only lasts until you switch Hawlucha out. As soon as it switches our or is forced to switch, it loses the Unburden bonus until the end of battle.

RhythmMelody 6
Maybe Alakazam is carrying a Quick Claw?
Plok 293
Gym leaders and boss pokemon have good ivs and they are ev trained, that's the reason you why you will get outspeed. idk what happened in this situation - we need more details to test it out but unburden works -> I've tested it against alakazam
highonpotenuse 3
Ok, it wasnt just alakazam tho. It happens frequently to me, i used unburden hitmonlee and it was amazing. So I decided to give hawlucha a try but Im constantly getting outsped by pokemon Im pretty confident i should be outspeeding when i get my 2x boost. If everyone is saying there is no problem, then I will march on or throw the circus bird away. Thanks for the quick replies everyone.
Developers Marcello 436 Posted July 29, 2017 Developers Share Posted July 29, 2017 So it looks like this probably isn't a bug as people have said, but I'll look into unburden just in case, thanks for the report.
fyfsixseven 0
A similar thing happened to me with my lvl 54 Swirlix against Fern's lvl 54 Serperior in Aventurine Forrest. Swirlix had 144 base speed, after unburden should be 288. An unboosted Serperior at lvl 54 cannot exceed 200 speed even with max IV and EV.
Akzaar 0
I confirm the problem, I had the same experience in my Fighting monorun when Samson's mienshao continued to destroy my team with acrobatics. There is no mathematical way that mienshao can be faster than a jolly Hawlucha after unburden but it still did (and it has leftovers so no speed enhancing object)
KingOfAllTrades 0
This has happened to me several times now, but until recently I always just wrote it off as a really fast 'mon or a Scarf or something. But as my Hitmonlee gets faster it's been becoming increasingly suspicious -- so on my latest battle I did some stat hunting and double-checked to confirm: First check: --> Hitmonlee defeats Gallade with Fake Out, activating Normal Gem and triggering Unburden --> Hitmonlee outspeeds and defeats Lucario with Close Combat; it should have me beat on speed unless it has 0 investment, which is possible --> Raichu-A outspeeds and defeats Hitmonlee without using Surge Surfer or a Choice Scarf; if Unburden was active, Hitmonlee should be far faster (My speed should be 332 and Raichu's can't be higher than 274 without help) Second check, vs. same trainer: --> Hitmonlee uses Fake Out on Raichu-A, activating Normal Gem and triggering Unburden --> Hitmonlee outspeeds and defeats Raichu-A with Close Combat --> Togekiss outspeeds and defeats Hitmonlee; this should not be possible -- even with perfect EVs/IVs/Nature and a choice scarf, Togekiss should have only 321 speed to my 332. All of this happened on a Factory Field, which should not to my knowledge affect the outcome. The conclusion I've come to is that Unburden is boosting speed until *any* pokemon leaves the field, instead of until the user leaves the field.
Corso 165
Version: 17.1. During the battle against Samson Blaziken outsped Primarina but she defeated him, then Primarina outsped and defeated Hawlucha. I had no boosts or Quick Claw, and he used his seed. Spoiler I checked the files, and Unburden should double the pokemon's speed
Norm 27
Can confirm that Unburden is currently broken. My Hawlucha has been outsped by many Pokemon it shouldn't be outsped by with Unburden boosts like Lycanroc-M, Espeon, Alakazam, and A-Raichu off the top of my head.
