I.e. traveling a region as a Trainer, challenging a League, fighting the resident Team. Do any of you know fangames styled after Spin Offs? Mystery Dungeon in particular. Not sure if that's quiet enough departure from what you are looking for, but it's something. It only has Pokemon up to Gen 4, though, but it does use some Gen 5 mechanics I believe.
