[Not a bug] Destiny bond is not taking them with me

So, destiny bond is always supposed to take the opponent dealing the fatal move with you, right?

Well, it doesn't always for me. It sometimes just ignores it. I was told by S.paul that this is a bug, so here's me reporting it

could you give us more info about this? is it happening in offline or online play?  are you sure that the attacking pokemon killed the d bond user on the same turn?

I've tried to test this with my gengar and it worked every time for me so I need more info to look into it properly

It has happened several times in offline play, only in trainer battles. I'm not sure if it only happens when I die in the next turn after using it, so I will test that now.

Is destiny bond only guaranteed to work if the user dies on the same turn?

EDIT: I think I got kind of confused with the mechanics of destiny bond. That's why I believed it wasn't working properly. I don't have any issues anymore. Sorry to trouble you

If you use DB in the same turn before the opponent deals the final blow, then the opponent will faint when your pokemon faints.

If you use DB on one turn, didn't die on that turn, and did not use DB again before fainting on the next turn, then the opponent will not faint.

Yeah, that's the thing that I didn't know. I just assumed whenever you used DB, the opponent would die with you. With that knowledge, it works normally
