Ether on Heal Pulse Battle Error?

So I used an Ether on Audino Lv.39 (Misdreavus Lv.38 was active pokemon when I used it) to restore Heal Pulse to 10 during the Beldum fight (The Ether was also not used, but it still restored the PP) and it temoprarly froze my game and gave me the text error at the bottom.

Then after pressing B a few times and then guessing I was back on the battle screen, I tried going back in to items but nothing happand, then I went in to pokemon and the game unfroze, but with some minor screen errors.
