So, I was really curious to see how Gliscor works considering I have a hard time beating it. Building a team around it has really helped me understand its function in competitive battling. I originally started with adding Mega Venusaur with Gliscor, but it didn't work out, so I tried it in UU and it worked a lot better in UU than it did in OU. So, before we get started, I want to give credit to Skitty. She really helped me figure out whether this team was good or not. Anyways, without further ado, let's get to the team! Gliscor @ Toxic Orb Ability: Poison Heal EVs: 244 HP / 168 SpD / 96 Spe Careful Nature - Stealth Rock - Roost - Knock Off - Earthquake So, nothing complex here. Pretty basic. Stealth Rock to put up hazards. Roost + Toxic Orb + Poison Heal for Recovery. Knock Off to get rid of an item and Earthquake for damage. So yeah, pretty basic here. It's great 'cause I can stall a bit with it. Primarina @ Choice Specs Ability: Torrent EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Moonblast - Psychic - Energy Ball - Scald Primarina is my special attacker on the team. Here's the catch though. It has Energy Ball. Whenever my opponent is sending out a water type pokémon, I can just use Energy Ball. They might not see it coming. Also, Specs + Moonblast/Scald can deal a lot of damage, even to Scizor! I really like it! It's helped me through a lot of tough battles! Darmanitan @ Choice Scarf Ability: Sheer Force EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Flare Blitz - Rock Slide - U-turn - Superpower So, I tried to make Darmanitan my fast sweeper 'cause it has huge attack power. I just have to be careful of the recoil though so yeah. Not much to say here. Pretty basic moveset here. Zygarde-10% @ Choice Band Ability: Aura Break EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Thousand Arrows - Outrage - Extreme Speed - Toxic This guy is sort of Darmanitan, except it's really fast and has high attack at the same time! Also, Choice Band + Thousand Arrows can deal a lot of damage! This pokémon has been a beast on my team! It destroyed almost every single one of my opponent's teams! Latias @ Soul Dew Ability: Levitate EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Defog - Roost - Draco Meteor - Psyshock Lamias plays the role of defogger on the team. I originally went with Tsareena with Rapid Spin, but it didn't work so I asked Skitty and she told me Latias would be better and indeed it was better. Absol-Mega @ Absolite Ability: Magic Bounce EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Sucker Punch - Pursuit - Iron Tail - Superpower Absol is the priority kill here. It can also counter hazards with Magic Bounce. I put Iron Tail on it so that I can counter Fairy-types somehow. Perish Song 36 Posted May 24, 2017 Share Posted May 24, 2017 With a good duo partner, mega blastoise would tear this team apart. It hits hard to gliscor,darmanitan,zygarde by having scald and icebeam , third slot being rapidspin and 4 th slot is commonly filled with dark pulse to hit latias more effectively. Also gotta remember m absol has paper def so probably it would die to scald in 2 hit ko. ( Best optional partner is raikou , it can kill primarina easily, and deal severe serious damage to gliscor and zygarde with hpice. ) Other than that it looks really nice and decent.
