Entire glitched online battles

This is a very strange occurrence that happened during two of my battles with @S.paul.  Out of four battles, the second and forth were 'glitched'.  Basically, from at least one of our perspectives we were facing the same Pokemon our opponent used in a past round, which then used the same moves as in the past battle.

 

Round one (non glitched)

Gardevoir vs Politod

 

Round two (glitch--- one pokemon slot affected)

Eelectorss vs Mettagross  (My perspective--stalled with a 'waiting' screen on second turn)    

 

Gardevoir vs Mettagross (His perspective---He won this battle in one turn; displayed typical "You won the battle")

 

Three (non glitched)

Spirtomb and Chandeler   vs  Absol and Serperior

 

Four  (glitched--multiple Pokemon slots selected)

Vilvillion vs Absol and a second mon (My perspective---stalled second turn on 'waiting' screen)        

 

Eelectors vs Shedenja (His perspective---He lost in one turn: displayed typical "You lost the battle")

 

 

I'm assuming the 'waiting' happened on my screen both times because from my opponent's perspective, the battle was already over both times.  On all of these battles, it seems we both sent the challenge.  In between some of these battles, there were times when the game would crash upon selecting a field.  I'm not sure if this is a random occurrence or a documentable bug, but I am reporting it.
