Kruppstahl 9 Posted January 12, 2017 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Hey hey, I tried using the online battle function on the public release and almost everytime I got a decent team together a messages pops up, which says: A Pokémon with an unreleased move has been detected! You will be unable to acces certain online functionality untill you remove it. Sometimes it even says an unreleased Pokémon is in my party (every shiny I caught during my playthrough and several other Pokémon such as Toxicroak, Nidoking, Roserade). My main question is: how am I supposed to know as a basic player, which Pokémon I can use and which ones I can't use ? Is there somewhere a list ? Better question, why are there unreleased attacks on my Mons in the first place, since they learned all the moves ?! Okirua 12 Posted January 12, 2017 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Check this out, it could be useful. Have you received any pokemon from trades? (Such as Magikarp or Ghastly or any of their evolutions) The only thing you can't do online is wondertrade or random battle if those messages appear, the other options are available to you. My main team is a bunch of event Pokémon that u get throughout episode 10-15. The biggest loss I feel on the shiny Gyarados (from the fisherman event). ps. I've read the article, thank you for that. But I still do not know, why several other Event-Pokémon are banned aswell :/ The article says that moves from past episodes are illegal, so how am I supposed to know what moves I can use now ? Only two event pokemon I know of that are banned from random battle are Ghastly evo-line and Magikarp line. I usually check bulbapedia to see what moves pokemon can learn, so if anything, you could check all your pokemons moves on there see if they can learn em legally Edit: Could also do what person above me said, probably make things much easier Link to post Share on other sites
BIGJRA 133 Posted January 12, 2017 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Ok, basically with moves, any TM moves on your Pokemon that we don't yet have the TM's for are illegal assuming the Pokemon cannot learn them otherwise. In Gen V mechanics parents could pass TM moves but in Gen VI that was scrapped, so you can no longer do that in Reborn. This might be a bad example but Ice Beam Politoed is an example of this since we don't have ice beam but a dad with ice beam could breed it on in Episode 12-. Link to post Share on other sites
pyrromanis 70 Posted January 12, 2017 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Also the most common move that is unreleased is Shadow Ball on pokemon that can learn it only from TM. Since Shade now gives Shadow Claw instead, it is considered an unreleased move on pokemon like Roserade, Nidoking etc. Link to post Share on other sites

pyrromanis 70 Posted January 12, 2017 Share Posted January 12, 2017 I don't see why your Toxicroak is not allowed :/ Sucker Punch and Poison Jab are level up move, Bulldoze is an available TM and Drain Punch is a Tutor move. Link to post Share on other sites
