MobiusFlip 9
When the opponent uses Roar in a double battle, the move only affects one Pokemon on the player's team (unsure if this is intentional or not), leaving the other on the field. However, there is a chance that the Pokemon sent out in response to the Roar is the same Pokemon already on the field, effectively increasing your number of usable Pokemon by one. Both versions of the Pokemon are affected by attacks independently, but only one will gain any experience from defeating opponents. Either the Pokemon in battle before Roar was used or the Pokemon in the top right slot of the player's team will receive experience instead; I'm not sure exactly which it is since in my case they were the same Pokemon. Global Mods Dreamblitz 1056 Posted December 28, 2016 Global Mods Share Posted December 28, 2016 do you know if you can target your partner with roar in doubles? I'm now imagining someone setting up a team around this where they keep trying to duplicate team members and generating more pokemon to fight with.
Plok 293
Roar only affects one target. Confirming duplicating thing. Also adding info that when you're using roar sometimes the same pokemon you used it on will come out. Other thing is that if you've used Roar on Trainer1 pokemon sometimes Trainer2 pokemon will come out in. Thank you for reporting o/
Developers Marcello 436 Posted March 12, 2017 Developers Share Posted March 12, 2017 Looking at this, I can easily enough replicate roaring a pokemon from Trainer1 and it being replaced with a pokemon from Trainer2, so will work on fixing that, but am unable to replicate any other issues, are there any more specifics anyone has of when this occurs?
