Pickup Ability

Could someone please explain to me the pick up ability, do i need to get the items of each pokemon after each battle or will the items just magically gointo my inventory when they pick up more

not really. so how pick up works is this

after every battle, every mon with pickup has 10% of creating an item

the item depends on the level of the mon

higher the level, better the item

 

yes you'll have to manually take the item from the mon after a battle

but it's not always there after a battle (because there's only 10% chance of item)

that's why people usually have 5-6 pokemon with pickup ability

so when they go to grind for EVS or something they take the pickup team with them 

this maximises chances of creating an item when you have more mons with pick up ability

You need to take the items away from the mon. They will be holding it in their own item slot, and will be unable to pick up if they have something in that slot already.
