Outsped by Slower Pokemon

This happened twice, and I can report this problem only as of ep 16 because it involves Adrienn's Gardevoir outspeeding my Timid 252 EVs Greninja and a second time against that purple Kecleon in Beryl Ward Forest, who actually outsped my Timid EV trained Galvantula. Gardevoir used Focus Blast and Moonblast, and I don't really remember what that Kecleon did but I know that Greninja outsped it, so it had to have a speed around 270-290, which is literally impossible for a Kecleon. Now, I'm not sure if you increased Kecleon's speed, but I'm more worried about Gardevoir and would like an explanation of how in the hell it outsped me. It really made that battle a lot worse.

I'm not sure about kecleons, maybe they have used shadow sneak, fake out or sucker punch

Try to go to a backup save file and recreate the problems there, see if Tailwind was up or a priority move was used respectively.

Whimsicott has tailwind, and Gardevoir outsped me first turn with the Granbull on the field. As for Kecleon, it's possible that it was using a priority move, even if I think I would have noticed that. I'll check both of them and report here regardless, maybe with some screenshots.
