I hope this is the right place to post this.

 

I'm playing the e16 community release via wine on my 2012 macbook pro (running el capitan) - getting a wee bit old but still more than fast enough to run reborn, I should hope...

 

sadly, very often during a battle I'll get the message that 'the script is taking too long. The game will restart'. I'll then be taken back to the start of the battle. This happens mainly when there is some stat change, or someone has been poisoned, wrapped, etc.

 

any idea how to solve this?

Try disabling animations in battles
