[Not a bug]Fisherman take any items attached to Whiscash

Not really a bug but more of an oversight, maybe? I was reading a thread in which a player said he lost his Exp. Share because it was attached to the Whiscash that he gave to the fisherman to search for Tara's ID. While this is more player error than a bug (and is very unlikely to happen since most players would just hand him the Whiscash immediately after catching it), still seems illogical for the one in a million chance that a player loses an important held item because of a slight oversight.

 

Simple solution would be to have the fisherman refuse any Whiscash that has a held item? Wouldn't detriment the sidequest in any way.
