Duplicated pokémon egg after a trade

So, i was going to trade a Larvesta egg for a Horsea and when i did it, it displayed a message that the user left the trade.

 

Some moments later, he noticed that he got the egg and i haven't received the horsea, it just "vanished".

This is strange, you shouldn't be getting that message without the same happening on your friend's end, to avoid things like this. I'll look into it.

I'm the guy with the vanished horsea, this problem also happens sometimes with the system you used for Reborn, i know because i also play pokemon Insurgence, the base it was used for the online play here, and when i traded between plays (you can have 3), sometimes i lost a pokemon and the other was duplicated.

Also i think, maybe if was playing with the Alt key for speed, so this could be accelerate my trade but slowd down for my partner (?).

I'm not entirely certain why this has happened but I've taken a look at things and tried to streamline the system best I can so that should hopefully fix instances of this sort of thing occurring.

This isn't egg exclusive.  Argentum and I had the same thing happening the other night.  They posted about it as well because we didn't realize a post had already been made.

 

Edit:
Happened again.  Lost a 5iv Larvesta holding a heart scale.  Ver. Sad.  Especially since the saves don't let you restore easily after a corrupted trade.

Something like this happend to me on pokemon heart gold and soul silver when i was trading with a friend for the ryquaza event (the original pokemon game in a nds), it happend because of a connection error, maybe here is the same problem?
