Celesteela.

All the UBs except this have lopsided stats, with at least one abysmal defensive stat. They all also have questionable typings from a competitive aspect, and likewise most of them have one brokenly huge stat to boot.

Not celesteela. This is the best UB in my view, since it is so perfectly balanced. Such excellent bulk, good mixed attacking stats, nice design and concept, and a wide movepool on both sides of the spectrum which it can use well. (Lack of Roost hurts, but Leech Seed and Giga Drain, or RestTalk, make up for it somewhat.)

It's also the heaviest Pokemon tied with PDon, at about one metric ton. Its sole issue is speed, which, compared to most alola mons, isn't bad at all, and it even has Autotomize to fix that issue.

Also, I finally have my new ride. I like mechanical, alien or non-bionic Pokemon, and having to rely on a plucked prehistoric turkey to Fly was always a little grating on any steel monos I might have undertaken. If I ever play these games, I at least have an eco-friendly UFO rocketship to ride on.

I find a lot of the UBs pretty nice (though Buzzwole and Xurxitree are kinda ick) but I'll have to go with UB01 Nihilego. I just find it so cute and I have to give it points for that unique typing. It's also probably one of the best UBs in terms of stat and move distribution as well!

I have a feeling that this will be an unpopular opinion, but I like Guzzlord. I love Dragon types, and for some reason he just seems so cute in Refresh! Plus he eats Poke Beans in one bite, How is that not the coolest thing ever!?

I named mine Chewy, and I love him.

Nihilego was just the most prominent player in the plot so I think I probably just like it because it seems more familiar. I also think it has a pretty cool design (they all look cool, but some of them are a little off putting). Kartana would be my runner up.

1. Kartana.

I really like the two earthly components of this UB and it's insane Attack and Speed stats. It's an origami figure with dual katana for arms - and yet the Pokémon doesn't look clunky like it sounds. It's slash and blade centered move pool is horrendously bare - sensibly. It's a Grass type. It's got late game sweeping potential competitively thanks to being one of the most physically offensive creatures in the Pokémon universe. Hunter approves.

2. Nihilego.

I like this thing's role competitively (while not the biggest game breaker out of all the UBs) and it's unique typing that improves on it's resistance to fighting type moves as a ...Rock? This thing didn't look like solid matter. Breaking all the rules. Could definitely do without the parasite schtick though.

Jesus, that's not getting unseen.

3. Celesteela.

GOD this thing is fat. And strange. Definitely the most "alien" of the UBs. I think Game Freak was going for that with the group as a whole. Kudos.

4. Buzzswole/Pheromosa

Essentially the same Pokémon according to the International Police and in concept with simply differing roles and designs to cover the poles of the andro-spectrum. Which one I like over the other depends on the day. Buzzswole looks cool in the "that's ridiculous" sense - and Pheromosa is an absolutely terrorifying competitive specimen.

5. Xurkitree.

As much as I enjoy a good pun Game Freak. This is just the most boring of them all.

You forgot Guzzlord (or did you just not care for it enough to mention it?)

Yes. And Yes. (Thanks ICSW)

6. Guzzlord.

Xurkitree may be boring, but it's usable and pairs pretty well with Tapu Koko (it seems) - Guzzlord must be an endangered species. A mostly bulky (as opposed to anything else) Pokémon DOESN'T want to be a Dragon/Dark type.

Do yourselves a favor those of you that own multiple copies of the game, and use Guzzlord as a leveling up method by defeating it over and over again. Pack a fairy move and just go to town.

This poor miserable creature.
