[Known] Level Cap No Target

Having experienced this bug on several occasions, I feel it is time to post about it. The essential breakdown is this: Your Pokemon's level is over the level cap your gym badges allow. You use a move. Text says '____ ignored orders!' It then proceeds to let you use your move anyway (about half the time). One time out of every fifty or so, however, it will use the move but say 'But there was no target...' even if there was.

This has happened on multiple occasions with various moves; the most recent that I can remember are Klank's Gear Grind in Pangoro Playground (while fighting Pokemon Don) and Beartic's Blizzard while in a double battle against Meteor Grunts.

Both times, as in every time the bug has occurred, there were viable targets in play for the moves to go against.

At least the first one of these is known, and I'm almost certain the last one is too.

I'm pretty sure all of the level cap stuff has been looked at by Marcello, so I'm gonna mark this as known for now.
