TheScarletSword 12
So Alice told me to wait until AMA season died off before I make this. I decided on the date August 28th! Though that took a long time, here we are. I made an AMA some nine months ago, but it: 1) wasn't really fleshed out, 2) it didn't really get traction, 3) most of the questions were memes and shit. Let's fix that. My sole requirement before you post is something similar to what Zumi imposed for her AMA - I'm expecting mostly serious questions, and you can expect me to post equally serious answers. Let's say... 3 meme questions for every 10 serious questions, or something like that. Here's a sized down version of my renewed introduction thread I made during January, for those who might not know me that well... if at all. A 6'4 22 year old INFP male who currently resides in New York City, I'm a bit of an introvert who doesn't go out of his way to start conversations. I was homeschooled through grades 5-12 and excelled at it due to my preference to teach myself. A bit of a sarcastic devil. My dream career is either being a psychologist, a computer engineer/builder/repairman, or a producer. I'm not overly ambitious but I have goals that I want to reach. I've been playing Pokemon since Red and Blue came out in the US nearly eighteen years ago, and I've been playing competitive since late 2004 as a ten year old. I found this place after I scouted Pokemon Online during late 2010. My peak involvement in this place was 2011, where I became a co-owner after Amethyst had to leave for a while. I left at various points, had a second wind in 2014, and now I am mostly retired from this place, occasionally popping in on the server for sections of time and usually lurking the forums. My hobbies include reading, video games, messing around with computers, and professional wrestling, with a dash of writing here and there. I was a massive bookworm in my younger years, having cleared out 100 books in a few months time at my peak, and lots of my free time nowadays is spent reading articles on the Internet. My first video game console was the Genesis at 3 years old, and Sonic 2 was my first video game. Favorite console is the SNES, and favorite handheld is the GBA. My preferred franchises are Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Metroid, Mega Man, Smash Bros., Super Robot Wars and some other cool shit. I've been watching pro wrestling (well, WWE) since 1999 or so, although I really got into it around the Ruthlesss Aggression era and stopped watching in 2006, only to start watching again in 2012. I also watch New Japan sometimes. I rarely watch anime but the Dragon Ball and Gundam franchises are among my favorites in that medium. Other series I've watched include the likes of Fullmetal Alchemist, Madoka Magica, Cardcaptor Sakura, Gurren Lagann and Evangelion. I'm not picky when it comes to music, but I really like classical/orchestra stuff, piano, alternative, rock, and jazz. Video game music is also great, and I don't mind metal from time to time. Come at me.

TheScarletSword 12
how did u break that spoiler? aw u fixed it before i could post Favourite aspect of the community? If there was anything you could change about it, what would change? 1. meme magic I have no idea. It might've been because I put the spoiler tags on myself instead of using the BBCode option to do it for me. 2. The fact that there are some genuinely great people here if you look hard enough. The fact that some parts of the community can come together at seemingly random times and keep things going, like this year's AMA season for example. If it weren't for this place, I would still be associating with about 5-8 people at best. 3. Mmm... I'd have to say the passive-aggressiveness that people show off at times, or as people are calling it nowadays, "vagueposting". It might be just me, but I don't think it's particularly hard to find out who someone might be talking about, especially when it occurs so close to an argument or what have you. why not just be direct about it if you feel you have to say something? Staff-wise, I covered a lot of that during that Equality and Fairness back-channel ordeal. Primarily, I think there needs to be some more organization in their ranks, a bit more unity, and a way where things can be approved faster by the higher-ups instead of ideas being on-hold for an indefinite amount of time. Been awhile. One of these days some of us should do that Mario Party 2 thing again. Speaking of, favorite games, I wanna hear them. It's been a while indeed, old friend. I'd love to get a nice old Mario Party 2 game going again! I'll likely be popping in around December, so that's a good of a time as any. My ten favorite games probably goes something like... Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver Sonic 3 and Knuckles Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island Pokemon Black/White 2 Super Metroid Mega Man 7 Metal Gear Solid Kirby Super Star (Ultra) Final Fantasy VI how shit is wearing reindeer antlers in public? do you have any jobs in mind? i would imagine getting a job where you live is like hell are you good at being motivated? i procrastinate i can't think of any so what are your favorite multiplayer games? how are you gonna plan to get into college? im forgetful so don't scold me 1. Pretty bad. Especially if your name is Maku. 2. Something clerical i.e at a desk, a cashier, something like that. I'm no good at physical jobs because my knees aren't exactly in decent condition, especially my right knee. Really, my primary job right now is something where I'm driving, but I'm not sure how that would play out. As for getting a job where I live, that's true. There's a ton of people cramped into NYC, which makes getting employment a lot harder than you would imagine, especially if you're entry-level. But it's not impossible. It helps that me and my mother are both looking for employment right now, so eventually, something will come through. 3. Depends on what for. I'm no good at multi-tasking either so my motivation stays on one thing until the job is done or I can't actually proceed on it any further. 4. Smash Bros., Mario Party, 100% Orange Juice, Mario Kart... I don't really play stuff online that often so I'm probably open to a lot of things if I were to try them but those enter my mind first. 5. via scholarships and Federal Aid (FAFSA), really. I'm not concerned about grades because I'm generally really good at tests, but it's the money more than anything.

TheScarletSword 12
Few questions, mainly because I've never asked/can't remember. 1) What's some of your favorite movies/favorite genre of movie? 2) What kind of music do you enjoy the most? 3) What's your favorite kind of book to read? 4) What's the best thing about New York City? 5) Which would you prefer, psychology or computer technician? Imma make ya choose bitch 1) The entirety of the Dark Knight trilogy, the Toy Story trilogy, The Shining. Action and comedy are my two favorite movie genres. 2) If I absolutely HAD to pick a single kind, it's probably classical/orchestra. 3) Science fiction. 4) The fact that there's so many things to do here! It doesn't matter what borough you're in, there's always some place to eat or shop, some place to hang out, a movie theater, and so on. The downside is that NYC can be pretty fucking expensive though. Even so, downtown Manhattan is one of the most entertaining places to be at and there's not really an experience like it. Another thing I really like about NYC is that we're pretty tolerant in regards to social issues. It's nice that people can be open about their sexuality or race here and very rarely encounter any kind of stupidity, although it's not nonexistent. 5) Let's see... I feel that I already have experience with psychology and I wouldn't particularly mind studying for it, but I also don't like dealing with people for extended periods of time - it also doesn't help that psychology takes a while to stay in college for if you go beyond Bachelor's, and that's not exactly appealing to me. I also have experience with computers, including building them (mostly desktops). I certainly imagine it wouldn't take as much time to get accredited for as being a psychologist would either. That said, I'm not entirely sure if I'd want to deal with technology like that as a career either. My biggest problem is that I hate being tied down to one thing for a long time. I eventually lose my motivation and when I lose my motivation I enter autopilot mode, in which I simply do things because I feel I HAVE to do it, and it's entirely halfassed. If I absolutely had to choose however, I'm leaning towards being a computer technician.

TheScarletSword 12
#RKOOUTTANOWHERE Sorry it had to be said Real question: Do you like songs that are covered in Heavy Metal/Rock? Depends on which song, really. Some covers sound pretty cool; some others not so much. What's your favorite dish? Is there a food-place in New York you would recommend to visitors? :3 1. I've taken a liking to General Tso's chicken nowadays. Really, anything with chicken is pretty cool. Oh, and pizza is always good! 2. There's a ton of good food places around here to name just one, although I haven't really visited any super fancy places exclusive to NYC. Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House is probably the only one I've had experience with, but several more casual options like Olive Garden, Applebees and Five Guys will all serve you well. Hero. Halberdier is a close second. 2. a) The long maps. This is a pretty divisive feature when it comes to this game, but for me it really does enhance the experience. It gives the feeling of a large-scale war. The pairing mechanic. I know modern FE readded it but it's definitely best done in Genealogy, both from a storyline and gameplay perspective. Trying out different pairings, planning on who gets what weapons and skills... and then seeing the children go on a rampage in Generation 2. It's probably the biggest thing that keeps me replaying FE4. c) The storyline. It's not mind-blowingly deep like other stories in video games, but for Fire Emblem, it has a lot of world building, carries a sense of scale as you go through the entire continent of Judgral and the whole thing just feels big and important. Not to mention it has two generations, which further carries along the sense of scale. The only FE saga that comes close are the Tellius games (Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn). d) The characters. I think overall, FE4 isn't the strongest in this department but the characters that do make an impact, they make an impact. e) The music. Genealogy probably has the best music in any Fire Emblem game for me. Take a listen to most of the Generation 1 map themes really, such as "Birth of the Holy Knight", "Girl of the Spirit Forest", "Disturbance in Augstria", "Eldgian the Lionheart", and "Light Inheritors". A lot of the dialogue themes are great too. 3. God had to rest when he made Karting Bidoof. It's amazing. 4. It's hard to say. It's hard for the place to get noticed when I have no momentum behind it - which is a shame really, I put a lot of effort into modding RBDX and Phoenix Red in. Discord as a whole greatly overshadows Showdown's "community" features, so there's even less of a rush to get things back up. I'm going to be working on Emerald DX next year, so time will tell if I try and mod it into Showdown again and if that will cause me to bring SereneSpace back up.

TheScarletSword 12
What do you think about me? Who is the cutest user on this forum? What does the word "love" mean to you? What is your favourite Touhou theme? What are your thoughts on feminism? Would you rather be extreme left or extreme right? What are your thoughts on religion? 1. You're a very good friend. You can be too clingy/attached at times, and a little too forward - but your heart is in the right place and throughout the nine months I've known you. You've never truly wronged me, and gave me patience throughout every ordeal; in turn I made sure to respect this as much as I could. You have my everlasting appreciation for such. 2. I heard that Scarlet guy is pretty cute nah 3. A emotion that truly manifests through the loyalty and trust between two people who will always be there for each other. 4. 5. A noble ideal, but has been severely mangled by Millennials and some of the oldest members of Generation Z. The internet in general may have worsened things, too. The current movement needs a reboot. 6. Is neither an option? Political labels are stupid. Extreme left. 7. I think the Bible teaches some good things, though not all. I personally do not believe in religion, but all the power to those that do. Just don't force it on people.
