I hear the sound when speaking with people or clicking some actions, But no music at all... Need some help Link to post Share on other sites

tizian12 0 Posted July 28, 2016 Author Share Posted July 28, 2016 unfortunately both boxes are checked. When opening the sound files outside the game, they work fine. I am able to hear some sounds ingame (like menu clicks and going through doors), but not the background music, battle themes and some other stuff. After reading through some posts with the same problem. I often read something about codec. I have no idea what this is. Also often people talk about they play this game in an emulator? I just unzipped the downloaded package und started the exe? Is this the wrong way? Any help is appreciated! Link to post Share on other sites

It's an RPG Maker game so it runs as a standalone like you're using it, so no worries there! If your music is just not playing, that's different to the problem I had (crashing), but converting the music (mp3's) to another filetype (maybe ogg?) with the exact same names might work? They say, updating some codex helped for this issue... So i updated it with link provided in this thread. But i have no clue if I did it correctly or not. mde2001 236 Posted July 30, 2016 Share Posted July 30, 2016 Okay I remember recently, someone fixed this issue by downloading windows media player, then everything worked. The Codex things is outdated and all the links we have to them are broken, so no help there. Link to post Share on other sites
