[Known] "Correct" answer is incorrect in 8th gym no. 4 chess challenge

So in the pic is the move that gossip Gardevoir says is correct but the enemy bishop can move one step back (red arrow) thus blocking the players attack. So the solution that Gardevoir says is correct is Incorrent (and I wasted 30 minutes of this puzzle)

Isn't the whole point of the puzzle that the enemy can't move their pieces and you need to figure out how to put them in checkmate under those pretenses rather than the actual rules of chess?

I suppose you're right about that, but if white were to move the bishop from C2 to G6 after black moves there it would still result in the same checkmate, so I don't think it's necessarily wrong, just mistimed?

Technically according to the game rules the bishop can't move diagonally inbetween other pieces... So

You're not the first person to notice it, I just hadn't fixed it yet. I think I have for 16. But yeah, you're not wrong. I've known about it for a while and I was trying to figure out another way to work but I ended up just dropping a piece of the set-up... if I recall correctly.
