[Resolved] No sound in windows

It seems like downloading windows media player fixes this issue, so if you are having a similar problem give that a try.

I have no music in game. I am using windows 8.1.

EDIT::All the files are there, the Mixer shows normal volume, and the game is not muted.

EDIT 2 :: Reborn now does not show up in the mixer at all.

Okay, first off press F1 and ensure the play BGM box is ticked.

If that doesn't work I'm not 100% sure how to fix it, but these are some things I've heard of working in the past.

One thing which I think has fixed it for some people is trying running the game as an administrator (it is a stretch but possible I guess).

Then the only other thing I've seen work (mind you in topics from like 2013), is downloading this codex thing. http://www.free-code...ck_download.htm

However, I've never used this link, so I can't guarantee that it works (and I hope that the download is safe), so before using it I'd get your antivirus to have a look, as I don't want any malware getting onto your computer :(

I'm not sure if any of these work, so let me know if they don't.

Also go into your folder for Reborn and look in Audio->BGM to make sure stuff is there, in case the download went wrong for whatever reason.

Nothing has worked so far. I have Windows 8.1. It is a clean install with all the proper drivers.

It seems that link is dead, do you have another?

Oh that's unfortunate. I don't have another one unfortunately as I just found this from a post Ame made in 2013 that fixed the issue for some people.

So, I'll keep thinking but I'm really not quite sure how to deal with this issue.

Nice work on finding a solution to this one.

I'm gonna lock the thread, and set it to resolved but congrats on finding a solution to a really irritating bug :D

I'm also going to edit your solution into the OP of this thread, so that's why there is stuff you didn't write in it.
