Nsuprem 0
I didn't found the bug I'm having touble with in the list, so, I hope I'm doing right reporting it here. Sorry if this is not the right place to. I already played pokemon reborn a few moths (maybe even years?) ago (and it worked well), but since I changed my computer, I lost my saves and everything, so I downloaded it again. The thing is, now the music doesn't play, I can hear sounds like the pokemon growls, atack effects or dialogue move, but the music itself doesn't sound. My OS is W10 (I don't know if that can affect) My save file is this one: http://puu.sh/o4LUM/49e9d9b1db.rxdata But I tried to delete it and start again, and the problem persist, so I don't know if it's useful giving the save
Dordoka 0
Have you tried pressing F1 (or clicking on the upper bar of the window and choosing "Properties") and checking if "Play BGM and ME" and "Play BGM and SE" are both selected? You may have unselected them by accident at some point.
Nsuprem 0
They are both selected! EDIT: I mean it was already selected and it didn't work
Dordoka 0
Well, I don't know then... But I don't think the save file has anything to do. Look in the Audio > BGM folder. If that has the files in it then it beats me.
Nsuprem 0
The BGM folder is right with the music! I already was checked that before made the post, sorry for not saying
mde2001 236
Okay, this is a problem with your computer, as the save file plays the music perfectly fine. This might not work- given that you are getting some sounds, but try going into your computer's volume mixer while the game is open. There should be a sound for pokemon reborn section. If this is muted or really low then unmute it.
Nsuprem 0
Nope! The sound is good. I tried to increase it but it still only the effect sounds are sounding I downloaded again the zip file but the problem persist, so I guess it's just a problem from my computer. I just hope that no more people have this same problem in the future!
Spineblade 20
This might be a stupid question, but did you remember to extract the files from the zip folder?
Nsuprem 0
Yep I did! It is possible to run the game if you don't? I mean even if the .exe works, the rest of the sounds and the sprites and I guess everything will not work
laggless01 51
Does only Pokemon Reborn gives such problems, or are there other things too? (I can't check files, my computer is getting quite the hardware-upgrade, plus back to Windows 7) Just to make sure it isn't something about the hardware. Do you use the speakers in your screen, or do you have additional ones that you're using?
Nsuprem 0
If there's more programs that give me this error, I didnt found them (I only played undertale in this computer and the sound worked nice, plus youtube, music files and skype calls also work, I think I didn't use more things that use sound on this computer). I have a laptop that use the integrated speakers it has, not additional ones
laggless01 51
Have you tried to play the files outside of the game (in media player or whatever you use)? If the sound is dodgy there, too, then something happened to those files. You also didn't accidentally rename the folder containing them (or the computer didn't accidentally on its own), right?I'm not sure if a Windows upgrade from 7-8 to 10 could affect the sound (if you upgraded), otherwise the site would be flooded by it. Nevertheless, I wouldn't be suprised if something in that operating system could stop things from working (although unlikely). If nothing works, you might want to consider a TeamViewer session with someone familiar with the game's coding. Nsuprem 0
I tried to open some random audios and they sound nice. The folder name is Audio > BGM / BGS / ME and SE, and the files names in BGM are like this I buy the comuter with w10 alreay but I think they upgraded it because it's second-hand. Yeah I think I should be interested in a TeamViewer session. Do you know if I should contact with a concrete user for that? :
laggless01 51
Well, that is really confusing...and I can't dive in the code to find what the error could be. (I don't know how the sound is "mixed", or how the code selects it...If there was no folder/document "found", the effect on your game depends on the prompt...)On the other hand, perhaps some installed program interferes with the game. Also possible is that your reborn download got a malfunction, bur that would be really strange, plus uploading and downloading your, err, 'download' would take some time.Or otherwise...(insert possibilities)At this point, you should ask someone who is familiar with the game's coding in the worst case for a session. Maybe send a message to mde2001 if he wants to (Me = Ubuntu + Old laptop + fun on W10 + poor internet connection* = distilled misery...Also not sure about the effect of the language barrier (aka me being bad at Spanish)). Just go to his profile and you'll see a button 'send a message' or something like that.(*While typing this, it crashed...again.)
Apadgett 0
was there ever a solution to this?
mde2001 236
Well it looks like Apadgett found a solution to this issue, which is downloading windows media player. This might help.
