Failed to load script

Hej!

A couple of days ago, I have downloaded Pokémon Reborn. However, when I try to run the Game.exe file, I only get a message stating "Failed to load script". I tried to download it again from another source, but the message stays. What should I do/ am I missing something? I work with Windows 8.

Thanks a lot in advance :)

Did you save the game while in the overworld or in any place like that before updating to a more recent Episode? If so, saving in those places should be avoided. You can fix a problem like this by going to the older episode and saving indoors. After you do this, updating to the next episode should go smoothly. If this doesn't work, let us know and post your save file.

Instructions on how to do so:

1. Go to your user in the start menu (Should be on the top right)

2. Go to the saved games folder

3. Go to the Pokemon Reborn folder

4. The file named "game.rxdata" is your save file. This is your precious. Now that you know where it is, hit "More Reply Options" near the bottom right of a reply box that appears when you type.

5. Hit "Choose Files" underneath "Attach Files." From here, just find your save file with the steps above, and attach it to your post!

Is the error only failed to load script, because if not it might help for us to have the full error.

Also, just checking you've extracted the downloaded files (I assume you have) but if not that is your problem.

Well yes, I have extracted all files, and put them into a seperate map in My Documents.
When I try to run Game.exe, it first asks "do you want to run this program from unknown publisher?". Yes, I do. Then I get the error stated before, after which a pop-up window comes up, asking for compatibility. It doesn't run on the default Windows XP (service pack 3) compatibility mode, and not on Windows 8 either.

Do I require certain software to run the game?
