Wine goes laggy in certain areas - no high cpu

Hi,

I have an issue with reborn being very laggy in certain areas, mainly grass (The kind where one would catch wild Pokémon), areas with those tentacles (the park in Obsidia) and sometimes in fights (The effect animation of a status effect change takes forever, e.g. the speed bars that go up).The game does not recovers itself unless I change the area which isn't really an option when I have to wade through a forest. The wine setting should be mostly out of the box, my CPU is practically idling, the sound does not lag at all, the keystrokes do, however.

I use debian linux, play the game from a SSD and have 12G memory. Video acceleration (NVidia Optimus) doesn't change a thing. A friend of mine with a similar notebook (less memory, only intel graphics but exact same model and operating system) does not experience these issues.

I couldn't find anything using the forum search or google, but if anyone has a lead, I'd be very thankful.

Some maps are just naturally laggy, due to all the events on them. In the current version of Reborn there is no real way to fix them. It doesn't matter how good your computer is - you could have 32 gigs of ram, 8 core processor with 4 ghz, it'd still be irrelevant.
