TOO MANY GROUND TYPES MAKE MAGNEMITE NERVOUS, OK!? I think Spheal is a better idea overall. It's a useful HM serf later too, when better water/Ice types become available. Commander 876 Posted April 6, 2016 Share Posted April 6, 2016 Alright, so gathering from what you guys said, I revised the list: Normal: Lillipup/Litleo (Lillipup is such a good starter) Fire: Growlithe Grass: Seedot - Give us something with only Bide....please don't Water: Clauncher - (a little OP, but not complaining) Electric: Shinx Ground: Trapinch - (Diglett, Phanpy, and Baltoy...so many non dragon ground options) Rock: Larvitar/Aron/Roggenrola (Both are good options tbh) Steel: Magnemite (depends on the leaders, but Klink is a not OP magnemite) Poison: Nidoran Ghost: Gastly/Misdreavus (Misdreavus or Yamask since Ghost balance is hard) Dark: Sandile (better option for ground, but no complaints) Fairy: Cleffa Ice: Swinub/Spheal Dragon: Goomy (no complaints considering the only other option is Tyrunt) Psychic: Solosis Flying: Taillow Bug: Sewaddle/Dwebble (Dwebble, Yanma, or Venipede since I consider Sewaddle an early game mon) Fighting: Machop This is actually a pretty well built list, but just don't have Seedot as a starter. That is a straight up terrible idea. Most of what I threw were suggestions on what you could do since I had this discussion for another fan-game. (Please no) And I'm glad to see the final list retain most of our suggestions. Shroomish is also a very good Grass starter; I forgot that seedot doesn't learn anything but bide; it'd have been horrible to evolve it. Also Magnemite, yay! EDIT: Cleffa is horribly weak as well, BTW, and doesn't learn many moves. I hope you give us a Soothe Bell almost immediately, else getting it friendly enough to evolve will be difficult. It's not as broken an item to send off a new trainer with; a gift at the beginning of the journey to make your mons love you more sounds like a nice idea, right? Link to post Share on other sites

Let's just say that I'm probably gonna go with what Jan did for Rejuv and have people figure out locations on their own first, then maybe a month after the release of V1 I'll post a complete list of all the encounters, for convenience's sake.
