Introductions!!

Welcome to the Kyle Mercenaries! A long line of pirates turned mercenaries turned pirates turned mercenaries again! The Kyle Mercenaries now do honest good hearted work. For real this time!

The Kyle Mercenaries are looking for GUARDIAN/ANGEL pilots. A new solar system has been discovered, that is rumored to have enough minerals to make everyone aboard the ship rich. However, pirates roam this system. Your job will be to go out into the field, and guard the mining operations. You will be payed a very hefty sum, and probably land yourself a permanent contract with one of the greatest Mercenary groups of all time. Now get to it!

Here you can find a time line of the most important recent events. All timekeeping will be done with Terran calendars and using Terran years.

On Timelines:

2123 A.D: China invades Russia, official start of World War III

2125 A.D: The USA, Canada and Mexico band together to create the North American faction. North American Faction joins the war, all of the world’s countries are currently involved in the war in some form.

2132 A.D: The North American Faction invents the Helios Reactor at the start of the year. By summer, The North American army has occupied every city on the planet. Official end of World War III.

2133 A.D: Earth is officially under the command of President Anthony Lincoln. Earth’s official language becomes English. World peace is established.

2200 A.D/ Year 0 P.C (Post Contact): First contact is made with an alien race, the Michi. Historians consider this a turning point in history, and reset the calendars.

Year 1 P.C: Peaceful relations with the Michi are established. The “Lightyear Alliance” is formed between the two planets starting an economic, military and scientific alliance.

Year 20 P.C: By this point, Michi are completely integrated into Terran society and vice versa. Construction on the “Waterleaf Space Station” to commemorate the alliance between the two races. On the Michi Solar System, the “Maple leaf Space Station” is being built.

Year 30 P.C: Construction on the Space Stations finish.

Year 43 P.C: The Lightyear Alliance starts expanding outside of their solar systems, colonizing habitable planets they find.

Year 77 P.C: The Terran colony of Astraea is attacked by the Yousei. First contact is made.

Year 78 P.C: All diplomats sent to the Yousei are killed. Start of the “Demon War”.

Year 104 P.C: Michi scientists find a way to incorporate enemy strategies into current technologies. The first prototypes of the GUARDIAN/ANGEL mechs are sent into battle.

Year 111 P.C: The Yousei home planet Chell is taken. The Yousei surrender, signing the Sol Treaty later that year. The Sol Union is formed

Year 125 P.C: The Yousei have started to assimilate into the Union life. They rename their home planet “Heaven”. English is accepted as the Union’s main language. Construction on the “Issucan Space Station” begins.

Year 130 P.C: Construction of the “Issucan Space Station” is finished. Yousei implements teleportation technology into the other space stations, making transport between homeworlds easier.

Year 150 P.C: Planet Nienia is discovered and colonized by Michi. The robotic Nienian race is discovered later that year.

Year 152 P.C: Laws Pass declaring Nienians and any future sentient robots, the same rights as all humanoid races.

154 P.C: A large terrorist group of Nienian haters attacks Michi cities, destroying the city of Talleaf. This group is mostly formed from Terrans and Yousei.

170 P.C: A full fledged war starts against the terrorist group.

200 P.C: Union forces capture the culprits of the attacks, and execute them publicly. The remnants of the terrorist group spread into smaller groups and pirates.

260 P.C: Current year.

On playable Races:

Terrans:
Terrans are well. Terrans. You are a human, so just look at yourself. Terrans had a long history of war and conflict until it forcefully stopped. They've since taken up more idealistic and peaceful thoughts. Their goal is to explore the universe and to try and find the meaning of reality.
Appearance: Look in a mirror lel.
Homeplanet and notable colonies: Terra, Mars, Astraea, Waterleaf Space Station.
Naming convention: Terrans... Well they use earth names. Their names are usually made up of a first name and a surname. Depending on where they were born on earth they will have names from different origins. Terrans who were born in colonies usually use English and American names.
Half-Michi: Mating between Michi and Terrans is completely possible. The result, is a terran with the Michi's dark vision eyes. Half Michi are never born with any other traits from their Michi half, but tend to inherent weird hair and eye colors. Half-Michi also tend to be more slender and nimble like their feline half.
Michi:
The friendliest sentient creatures known to man, there has never been a war between Michi countries in the planet's history. All problems have always been resolved peacefully. They are a very scientifically driven race, with a global wish to explore the stars and meet alien life forms.
Appearance: The Michi are called "space cat people" for a reason. They look a lot like humans, but with feline ears and tails. Their ears sprout out of their head, in the same color as their hair. Their eyes are adapted to night vision just like a cat's. Just above their bum, they sprout two cat tails that help them keep balance. Their hair and eye colors are all over the place, Michi can be born with any hair color or eye color. heterocromia is also very common.
Homeplanet and notable colonies: Thov, Nienia, Mapleleaf Space Station.
Naming Convention: Michi traditionally named themselves after objects of nature, and combined it with a second name that would represent their family. Traditionally Michi only have a single name. When the official language became English, they started naming their children in English with the same naming conventions. Examples of Michi names: A father named Firetree, could name his daughter Startree. The tree here is representing the family.
Yousei:
Yousei tend to have a hard personality to deal with. Their history is marked with war, political treachery and betrayal. They believe themselves higher than others, and they do not believe their recent loss has changed that. The Yousei wish to prove themselves the highest life forms in the universe. They tend to be very traditional, and instead of adapting into other cultures they adapt those cultures into their own.
Appearance: Yousei are split into two sub-races. These two carry vastly different traits from each other. However, all Yousei have pointed ears like a fantasy elf, and fanged teeth to drink water and juice from fruits. They are 100% vegetarian and are unable to consume meat.
Snow Yousei: Snow Yousei are adapted to colder regions. They have short horns sticking out of their foreheads sometimes just small stubs. They have very light skin tones, and tend to have red eyes. They are much shorter than their counterparts.
Flame Yousei: Flame Yousei had a much harder time in their side of the world. They have larger horns, with male's looking a lot like a deer's and females having "spearlike horns. Their skins vary from dark brown, to black and dark red. The most common eye color is blue, and their hair colors tend to be dark. They are larger and taller than most races in the union.
Homeplanet and Notable Colonies: Heaven, Issucan Space Station
Naming convention: After joining the Sol Union, the Yousei have taken a liking to Terran abrahamic names. They tend to use names like Gabriel, and Michael. They also use the names of gods from any religion, such as Amaterasu, Zeus, Hera, Freya. They will use names that have powerful and mighty meanings.
Nienians:
Nienians is a "catch all term" for all robotic sentient beings from the planet Nienia. This is a race of highly advanced AI that inhabit a small core. By applying this core to a malleable material they are able to recreate a body, and shape it as they will. They do not know who created them originally, as no one seems to remember. They have an innate sense to help and serve. They shun government and organization, each individual preferring to make their own choices. However as they spend time with other races the slowly start inheriting personality traits from others.
Appearance: Nienians can change their appearance over time. It takes a while as they slowly cahnge the structure of their metal bodies, to look exactly how they want. Playable Nienians have to be humanoid: a head, a body, two arms, two legs. Nienians who spend enough time on their appearance can very easily be mistaken for other races. Some Nienians give up their bodies, and deposit their cores into larger ships. This way, they take over as the AI of larger ships.
Homeplanet: Nienia
Naming Conventions: The concept of "names" was introduced to them by the Michi. If they aren't named by another race, they tend to name themselves after the first person they met or after an object or thing they like.

On Universe Politics:

Terra is officially a diplomatic system, where every year the same president can run. If there are enough votes for him to leave, an actual campaign with runners ups starts. However this hasn't happened once since the takeover of the North American Faction, president Anthony Lincoln has never left presidency. Through advanced medicine, his body has been made biologically immortal and he will keep getting this expensive treatment while he is in power.
Thov, the Michi home planet works through a senate. All cities and colonies get to elect a representative, and this senate alone decides on all matters regarding laws and the race's future. This senate is by nature scientific, and senators are almost always award winning scientists who have retired to politics. There are currently 187 senators. The number must always be odd.
Heaven, is ruled by two monarchies. The Snow Yousei have had a royal family in power for generations. They have remained stably in power through a heavy control on the north's food supply. The Flame Yousei however are prone to changes. Almost yearly, the king of the southern continent changes between the same three families. By tradition, power must be shared by two Yousei. However, due to the recent addition of religion into Yousei culture, it is now ruled by a third entity. This third entity is the pope, a representative of the church in all matters of state.
The Sol Union decides on it's matters with a representative from each nation. The three commune and decide with a larger party of experts later on. However, these three ambassadors have final say on most decisions. Nienians do not have representative by choice: they do not have an organized government so no one has stepped forth to represent the race.

On technology and armor:

We are currently in a very advanced age of technology. The speed of light has been broken, with lightyear travel possible in minutes through the warp drive. Infinite energy is possible through the use of the Helios Reactor. Teleportation is in it's infancy, but large gates are constructed in important space stations to link them to others. Hover craft, lasers, holograms, and instant food! All of it exists. If you have a question on what exists and what doesn't please ask!
Medicine is advanced enough to reach biological immortality through very expensive treatments. This is reserved for the very wealthy, who usually make their money through space exploration.
Laser weaponry exists, but because of the high cost of the necessary crystals it's rare to see infantry armed with laser weapons. They are much more at home on warships, and GUARDIAN/ANGEL mechs where the armor penetration is absolutely necessary. In other words: if you want your character to have a fancy shmancy laser gun that's fine. But how did they afford it?
Armor: Most generals don't invest in weaponry, they instead invest in armor. They prefer to keep their own damages in minimum, so that their soldiers last longer and can do more. There are three main types of armor available both to civilians and soldiers.
Power Armor: The bulkiest and strongest type of armor. This type of armor is closer to a mech than a suit of armor. To get inside they need to open a latch in the back and enter the armor. It's bulky, strong, and packs a punch. The armor's exoskeleton amplifies the user's strength. It's equipped with boosters to make the user as mobile as an unarmored soldier. The visor is equipped with a hud to aid in targeting. The only thing this suit lacks is the ability to be subtle.
Light Power Armor: A much more... Subtle counterpart to the power armor, the LPA is a suit of leather and steel plates. It's equipped to protect against negative atmospheric conditions through it's helmet and has boosters to make the user faster than they could achieve on ground. This armor is designed for your common soldier as it is easy to operate and provides a fair amount of protection.
Shield Belt: The cheapest armor type out there. It is the most common too, used by pirate and mercenary alike. It is a belt worn around the waist, that generates a spherical field. This field keeps pressure and oxygen levels at a survivable level. It cannot sustain the user for as long as the other types of armor, but it allows for the most flexibility and subtleness of all of the armor types. Also while it blocks some bullets and laser shots, if it takes too much damage it will go into a "danger" state where it will allow all bullets and lasers to go through but still keep the oxygen and pressure levels safe.

On GUARDIAN/ANGEL Mechs:

The GUARDIAN/ANGEL Mechs are a type of mech developed during the Demon War. They are currently the most used type of mech and military unit. They are a 25meter all, humanoid shaped unit. They are high customizable and require two pilots.
The first pilot, pilots the "GUARDIAN" sitting inside the mech. They control the main body of the mech. This is done through a neural interface, which allows the pilot's thoughts to become the mech's actions. This leaves the physical controls of the mech to operate weapon and booster systems.
The second pilot, pilots the "ANGEL". The ANGEL is a small aircraft that acts as the wings and main engine of the mech when it's in flight mode. By detaching itself and going into aircraft mode, the two pilots are capable of flanking the enemy and quickly dispatching them. ANGELs are equipped with much weaker weapons that can't penetrate the armor of most ships and mechs. However, because of their ability to combine they can attach themselves to ships, and take over the ship's systems. This leaves the mech or ship defenseless to an attack from the GUARDIAN. ANGELs are mostly controlled through physical equipment but also have neural interface attachments to quickly relay data to their pilots.
While the neural interface at first might like a feature only for the organic races, due to the ability or Nienians of transferring their AI system to other machines they can achieve the same effect as the interface by themselves.

On creating a character:

Here we shall go step by step through your character sheet and explain each process. Just delete the stuff I write when you create your character sheet.
Player: Who's a cute little roleplayer? That's right! It's you!
Name: Simple! If you need help, look at the "naming conventions" for the different races.
Race: Terran, Half-Michi, Michi, Snow Yousei, Flame Yousei, or Nienian. Take your pick.
Gender: Cute grill?
Age: The Kyle Mercenaries are hiring from ages 18-50. NOTE ON NIENIAN characters: This age limit does not apply. Nienians technically don't "age". Here I want you to write down how long it's been since you've "awoken". Nienians become "awake" when they come in contact with another race for the first time. So maybe you've been awake since the original Michi settlers, or maybe you were locked up somewhere and were only recently awoken. Nienians cannot be constructed, and all of them originate from Nienia, constructed by an unknown race.
Appearance: What do you look like yo? This is what your character looks like physically, your equipment and armor goeeesss...
Equipment: Here! What type of armor do you use? Does it look fancy? There is no point in camouflage in modern combat so most soldiers paint their armor or customize it. What about weapons? You are a mercenary. Unconventional means of combat such as melee and heavy weapons are completely fine. Look at "Technology" for help in both armor and weaponry.
Background This one should be a bit lengthy. How did your character get the training to be a pilot? The training for ground combat? Why do they want to be a mercenary? How did they get in touch with the Kyle Mercs? Where were they born, what do they want. Go crazy.
Basic Personality: You can just add five keywords to get a feel for the character if you want.

This is the character sheet. Every player will have to hand in one of these. To get your mech though, you will have to pair up with someone else and fill this one in together. I only need one of these. The first one I receive I shall assume is accepted by both players.
On creating Mechs

Mechs have statistics. The average statistic of a Mech are a C in everything. The grading system goes, F, E, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS. For now, S rank and above are locked out from your reach. If you want to have a grading of "B" in a category, if you have to have a grading of "E" in another. If you want to have a grading of "A" in one, you have to have a grading of "F" in another. Later on you will get the chance to upgrade your mech and make up for your disadvantages. Talk with your partner to decide on what play style you want your mech to fit.
Mech name: What do you call your Mech?
GUARDIAN pilot: Who pilots the body.
ANGEL pilot: Who pilots the aircraft?
Mech Appearance: What does it look like? Mechs are humanoid, with two arms, two legs, and wings when in flight mode. Additional limbs aren't possible (yet).
Mech background: Where was the mech built? By who? How did the pilots get to own it? Did they steal it, buy it, earn it?
Pilot Background: How did the pilots meet? How was their initial experience working together? What is the nature of their relationship?
GUARDIAN Statistics:
Strength: Grade it and then describe any melee weapons and systems that help it in combat. This also affects how much your mech is able to carry. A rating of "F" means that your mech does not have any type of melee weapons.
Fire Power: Grade it, and then describe any ranged weapons it has. Missiles, lasers, gatling guns, all of it goes here. A rating of "F" means your mech does not have any long range weapons.
Speed: Grade it, and then describe any mobility systems it has. How powerful are it's boosters, and how efficient is it at running and moving. A rating of "F" means your mech does not have any type of aerial movement without it's ANGEL equipped, and is grounded in a gravity environment.
Armor: Grade it, and then describe any armor it has. How powerful is it's armor? Is it made of metal, or does it use shielding systems. A rating of "F" means your mech is built out of poor little baby paper that cannot take real soviet damage. ((I'm joking it just means it's very vulnerable to damage))
ANGEL Statistics:
Fire Power: Grade it, and then describe any weapons it has for aircraft to aircraft combat. Even a grading of A will not be strong enough to seriously harm a mech or spaceship's armor. A rating of "F" means your aircraft doesn't have any air to air combat options.
Speed: Grade it, and then describe any systems and equipment that aids your aircraft's speed and agility. A rating of "F" means your aircraft is slow as a slug.
Hacking: Grade it, and then describe any systems and equipment that aids your aircraft in hacking enemy ships quicker. A rating of "F" means your aircraft does not have any hacking systems.
Repair: Grade it, and then describe any systems and equipment that aids your aircraft in fixing your own mech. A rating of "F" means your aircraft does not have any repair systems.

Accepted bleep bloops go here.

Artemis

Mech name: Artemis
GUARDIAN pilot: Reginald Thompson
ANGEL pilot: Mira Thompson
Mech Appearance: Artemis's GUARDIAN unit is a humanoid colored mostly in white with blue plating over the thigh, chest and hip areas. Attached to its shoulders are two large blue plates that act as shields and can be retracted to cover the body or opened up to create a space for the rifles to shoot through. Both rifles are generally attached to the arms though they can be detached and wielded manually. Attached to each of the shields are five BLASTER system drones that can detach and fly off independent of the main body. On the back of the main body is a space where the ANGEL unit can dock.

Artemis's ANGEL unit is a dark red jet with a green cockpit window. Underneath the wing area are two beam rifles. On top of both wings are low-powered propulsion boosters that are connected to the other one via an axle bar and jointed by a third booster. On both wings, the emblem of the white rabbit on Mira's clothing and armor are emblazoned.

Mech background: Due to the connections of the Conglomerate, this special GUARDIAN/ANGEL mech was built with the sole purpose of use for the protection of the Conglomerate's interests. All of the specs and weaponry were chosen by the respective pilots but the mech was built by a corporation under the Conglomerate's umbrella.

Pilot Background: Siblings. Duuuuuh~

GUARDIAN Statistics:
Strength: F
The GUARDIAN unit does not come equipped with melee weaponry.

Fire Power: A
The GUARDIAN unit is equipped with a beam rifle and a shotgun that shoots heat rounds. Alongside that, the machine is also equipped with 10 detachable and manually controlled drones that fly around the battle field and shoot beams at the targets of the pilots choice.

Speed: C
The GUARDIAN unit is mainly equipped with thrusters meant for the purpose of making clean escapes and distancing the body from approaching enemies. It's movement is also about as fast on ground in order to facilitate escape or distancing.

Armor: C
The GUARDIAN unit's armor is mainly comprised of two retractable shielding systems on either shoulder and has little in the way of armor attached to the main body.

ANGEL Statistics:
Fire Power: B
The ANGEL unit comes equipped with two beam rifles on underneath either wing which are designed for long distance shooting.

Speed: C
The ANGEL unit is equipped with three low-powered thrusters. While it does allow for fine control, it is slow in comparison to other ANGEL units.

Hacking: B
The ANGEL unit is equipped with a system that allows for quick entry into a ship's OS and creates a simple to use environment that allows for the user to easily do both automatic and manual overrides of the target's OS.

Repair: F
The ANGEL unit does no have any repair systems.

Thanatos

Mech name: Thanatos

GUARDIAN pilot: Alma Collins

ANGEL pilot: Daynight

Mech Appearance: Thanatos' GUARDIAN comes in the standard humanoid appearance that most GUARDIAN units are built, both the GUARDIAN and ANGEL unit were painted by Daynight in mostly black with white and silver stripes going horizontally across the arms and legs as well as on the tips of the wings of the ANGEL. The shield core located in the middle of the chest of the GUARDIAN is painted black but has a symbol of a white feline skull on it that has two black, menacing eye-holes that stare straight forward; the skull has two canines at the bottom of it facing downward and also has two bone cat ears that are separated from the skull but are located at the top near where the ears would normally be, both the skull and ears have many cracks throughout it. This is the mech's symbol and is used sort of like a pirate's flag to intimidate and warn others, the same symbol is on the top left wing of the ANGEL.

Mech background: The GUARDIAN/ANGEL mech Thanatos was "won" in a sort of gamble, the mech was originally newly made and was heading to be shipped to some wealthy Terran but was intercepted by pirates before it arrived at it's destination. Once the pirates stole the mech and all the other goodies aboard the ship it was on they went off to dock on a nearby planet where Daynight and Alma had been resting. That night, as the pirates celebrated and got drunk off their arse as they boasted about how easy it was to take the mech for themselves, Daynight joined their little party and challenged the pirates to a friendly game of cards. One after another the pirates would lose to him (of course, since he was such a gifted cheater), at first only earning pocket change but the rewards got higher and higher as more frustrated pirates tried to get their money back until finally they threatened to cut his throat if he didn't give them their lost money. Daynight, being the charmer he is, used this against the pirates and told them all that they were petty losers and he would leave them with nothing. He then challenged the pirate's leader to a fist fight and promised to give them double the money they lost if he could beat him, in exchange he would receive the mech if he beat the pirate. The prideful pirate accepted but was defeated easily as he had one too many drinks and all Daynight had to do was dodge his sluggish swings and trip him onto his fat bum. Of course the pirates didn't take kindly to being bested at and tried to smash his skull open; running for his life as the drunken pirates chased him down he lead them straight towards where Alma had given an anonymous tip to the local authorities to wait as the pirates who stole the mech were going to that location. As soon as the pirates were seen, the authorities recognized some of them and chased them down, capturing most on the spot. With the pirates busy locked up in jail or trying to stay hidden from the police, the police went to the pirate's hideout to retrieve all the stolen goods, finding all of it except the mech. Since Daynight had taken the liberty of taking the mech as a reward for his hard work in helping authorities capture dangerous pirates~

Pilot Background: Daynight had been on the run for a while, staying hidden and not calling attention to himself as he stayed out of eyesight of the powerful criminal that had ruined his life. He still kept tabs on the criminal organization he ran all the while though which is what led him to Alma. Alma's mercenary group had been slaughtered by the same criminal organization that assassinated Daynight's father, but she had somehow made it out as the sole survivor of the massacre. Daynight searched for her once he heard about what happened as he wanted to know how could she have made it out alive, usually the criminals left no survivors but if she managed to escape maybe it was a sign that they were weakening. So he went off in search of her to see if he could find out for himself, he found her residing in a space station near where the massacre happened and introduced himself to her. Throughout the night they learned information about each other's situations and decided that it would be better if they teamed up. Both accepting this, they became partners and began working mercenary jobs together, always having the other's back in and out of combat.

GUARDIAN Statistics:
Strength: C
This GUARDIAN unit is equipped with a laser edged lance that can collapse into a sword on command, allowing for some flexibility in close quarters combat.

Firepower: B
This mech is equipped with a multistage Coilgun (or Gauss gun) loaded with electromagnetic rounds, which allows it to mess with many sorts of electronics and vehicles that it targets while still packing a punch. However, it has a low rate of fire as it takes time to charge back up after each shot. The mech also carries an assault rifle loaded with thermal rounds.

Speed: E
This unit is equipped with thrusters that allow for some aerial movement without an ANGEL, albeit rather slowly when compared to others. Ground movement and maneuverability is also somewhat limited when compared to other units.

Armor: C
This unit is armored with a metallic alloy that is common among standard GUARDIAN units and also features a single shield core that is located in the unit's chest area.

ANGEL Statistics:
Fire Power: E
The ANGEL unit comes with two basic laser rifles on the wings that are barely able to leave scratches on other ANGEL's armor at all.

Speed: A
The ANGEL unit was built with lighter armor than normal to make it more agile in order to dodge attacks, as well as being equipped with many super-powered thrusters attached under the wings to give it a massive speed boost when needed.

Hacking: B
The ANGEL unit comes with a system that allows the user to quickly break through a ship's firewalls and other defenses against hacking, as well as the pilots already built in knowledge of hacking aiding him.

Repair: F
The ANGEL unit does not have any repair systems.

BLACK FOX

Mech:

Mech name: BLACK FOX
GUARDIAN pilot: Millenium
ANGEL pilot: Blackseed
Mech Appearance:
The GUARDIAN part of the Mech is slightly bulky, but is still humanoid in design. The Arms, Legs, Hips, and Torso are somewhat armored, and thusly a little thicker, making the Mech more resilient than others at the cost of some maneuverability. This armor is colored in various shades of blue, with dark red lines streaking across it in a Tiger-like pattern. Under the Armor, the Mech is mostly black, with bright yellow lines on it in a circuit-like fashion. These lines are merely cosmetic, though, providing no actual benefit.
When idle, the ANGEL is a jet-black oval-shaped attachment to the GUARDIAN without any remarkable features other than a BLACK FOX symbol at it's side.
In IDLE mode, the ANGEL can be used as a land vessel for faster transport.
When in ACTIVE mode, the ANGEL sprouts two large metallic wings from its back, the control of each wing activation mechanism being independant, allowing the pilot to activate each wing individually or retract them at will.
The ANGEL is also equipped with a power armor compartment and eject functionality, allowing the pilot to quickly enter their armor and leave the ship without wasting time or disconnecting their neural interface.
Mech background: The ANGEL/MECH combination was built by PANTHER for usage by it's agents. When the project was disbanded, Blackseed stole the mech and faked it's destruction, while the Thov government turned a blind eye to the incident due to her father's remaining pull within the community.
Pilot background:

250 PC: Reclaimer, an experimental ship with a new FTL drive core created collaboratively by Terran and Mihi scientists, is released for a test run, vanishing mysteriously into space after it's launch.
In truth, the ship was sabotaged by an as-of-yet unknown entity, crashing into the Asteroid Belt. In an effort to cover up the potential threat, the Terran government issued a statement saying that, due to an unpredicted core failure, the unmanned craft crashed, while simultaneously contracting a covert operative through the government of Thov; With no one else to turn to, and incapable of employing their own troops or highly-renowed mercenary troops, they resorted to the only specialized assistance they could get: The disgraced PANTHERs.
Blackseed was the first and only one to respond to the call, earnestly greedy by the prospect of regained honor. She gladly marched alone into the Belt, hoping to find and locate any type of technology that could be salvaged.
Meanwhile, Millenium was examining a most intriguing piece of technology he had recovered from a crashed ship in an asteroid near Luna. The technology within seemed to almost hum along with his own machinery, creating a type of cacophonic symphony that only he could ever hear or understand. It washed the robot over with a sense of calm tranquility, as if he was among his own.
Upon reaching the asteroid where the ship had supposedly crashed, Blackseed found it surprisingly empty. Upon searching through the nearby wreckage, she realized the technology - The core drive - had been moved.
Millenium gleefuly attempted to pry open and take apart the machine, confident in his ability to put it back together. He was experienced around technology, after all, and was eager to learn whatever secrets his newfound apparatus was willing to wield.
Desperately attempting to avoid a complete failure, the PANTHER scoured the entirety of the Asteroid Belt, attempting to locate anything or anyone that could have retrieved the stolen technology. It was there she found Millenium.
However, as soon as the Nienian gets close to the secrets within the core, he suddenly finds both his auditory and visual systems going offline; Unable to process any sounds or sights within his vincinity, the robot is incapable of stopping whatever force pries away the core from his hands.
When he comes to, the sounds of alarms; Looking at the armor-clad woman walking through his base, it seems almost natural that she'd be the one who took his tech.
Their first meeting was not a polite one; Between traps, defenses and power armor, there was little left of the Nienian's base by the time they were finally face-to-face.
Both ready to die and take life in the name fo their respective goals, the clash between woman and machine was cut short by a sudden airborne strike at the robot's base - Upon leaving the base to identify what caused it, both spotted a previously-unseen spacecraft leaving the scene.
It was then they realized that they had been fighting the wrong enemy all along.
After amends had been made, Blackseed decided to take Millenium in to give his testimony to the government of Thov - And they've been together ever since.

GUARDIAN Statistics:
Strength: F
The GUARDIAN unit does not come equipped with Melee Weaponry.
Fire Power: A
The GUARDIAN unit has a wide variety of weapons in its' arsenal, such as Beam Rifles, and a Surface-to-air Missile Launcher. Additionally, the Beam Rifles can be swapped out on-the-fly for Long-range Heavy Railguns by usage of a rotating mechanism inside the arms.
Speed: E
While the GUARDIAN unit is confined to the ground without the ANGEL unit in a gravity environment, its' thrusters can allow it to increase jump height slightly, as well as reduce the speed at which it falls if it should find itself falling.
Armor: B
While the Armor on the GUARDIAN unit might not be the strongest, it is enough to provide the Mech with some more survivability than the average mech.
ANGEL Statistics:
Fire Power: F. The ANGEL has no weaponry whatsoever.
Speed: A. The ANGEL is amazingly fast, being quick enough to avoid detection and lock-ons by most military grade systems, however should a system be sofisticated enough, such as a highly important base or higher-tech aircraft, it'll be identified normally.
Hacking: A. The ANGEL was designed to be able to break into most systems it can contact, allowing it to freely manipulate them from within. Only very sofisticated networks are beyond its access.
Repair: F. The ANGEL has no repair system.

Sol Sourire

Mech name: Sol Sourire
GUARDIAN pilot: Symphony
ANGEL pilot: Heavensea

Mech Appearance:
The GUARDIAN looks highly humanoid. Completely silver skin, with no or minimal wiring exposed. Has a mass of blue cables attached to its head that bears a strong resemblance to human hair tied into twin tails. These cables serve no practical purpose except looking like twin tails. The face of the mecha looks extremely humanoid, though lacking a nose and a mouth. Its eyes are shaped like slanted teardrops, coloured completely purple. The mecha wears a dress that leaves its arms exposed, which ends in a miniskirt that leaves a gap of exposed metal between its hem and the top of a pair of white stockings. The dress is mainly white in colour, with a number of heart motifs on it, and a secondary red colouring. The top half of the dress features a pink frilly collar around a tight-fitting blouse, framed by an inverted triangle-shaped cleavage window from which one can observe the valley between the twin elevated mounds on the mecha’s chest, which again serve no practical purpose. If considering proportions, the mech’s chest would be roughly equivalent to the proportion of A-cup breasts on a human. The mech is also able to convert itself into a hovering stage, its chest opening up to form two hemispherical domes flanking a flat centre stage, with its head popping up behind and serving as a control room. The rest of the mecha folds inwards, creating a very large, very bulky, but very flashy stage.

The ANGEL, when detached from the GUARDIAN, has a sleek, streamlined body, with the part normally serving as the seventh wing incorporated into the fusilage. The other six crystalline, multicolored wings can rotate freely about the body. The wingspan is about the same length as the body, though the wings themselves are set backwards from the nose a fair bit, closer to the back than the front. (The wings are p much Flandre wings on a ship. Google it.)

Mech background: The mech was commissioned by a previous employer as an experimental unit, having the ability (at least originally) to shift between various combat modes. Symphony bribed a mechanic into allowing her to test fly it, and then essentially flew off in the middle of a job “pacifying” a paramilitary organization, ensuring that they knew which mercenary group, exactly, was responsible.

Pilot Background: Heavensea and Symphony met at their previous place of employment. Symphony had already been working there for about a year when Heavensea signed on. Upon meeting the the Michi, Symphony promptly declared herself to be her partner and mentor, and showed Heavensea the ropes of mercenary work. Somewhere in the process, the Nienian managed to badger the Michi into joining up with her as an idol, though Heavensea still isn’t entirely sure about this prospect.

GUARDIAN Statistics:
Strength: C. Primarily just due to high investment into servos to let the mech carry all its equipment. As for actual melee combat capabilities, aside from the Naginata which its ANGEL’s seventh wing can convert into, the mech possesses twin swords, where the hilts are inverted cordless microphones, and the retractable blades emerge from the base of these microphones. The blades are of different lengths, with the right blade longer than the left. The blades are made of an ultra-hard metal material and vibrate at extremely high speeds, allowing them to cleave through metal with ease. When fighting in melee range, Symphony uses her neural link to directly operate the machine, allowing it to move in a highly organic and flexible manner. Of course, as a result of Symphony’s unorthodox obsession and her base weakness in CQC, most of its fighting moves end up looking like dance moves, forsaking efficiency in favor of looking pretty.

Fire Power: A. This mech is all about the heavy ordnance. Its armaments include: a pair of long-distance, high-power railguns, two short-mid ranged rotating barrel chainguns with a firing rate of 23,666 rounds per minute and a clip of 1,600,000 rounds, six reloadable missile launcher pods with fifteen shots each, in which can be loaded EMP/Sonar Jamming rounds, ballistic high-explosive rounds, cluster rounds or, if resources permit, nuclear rounds. In keeping with the theme of the mech, each armament is designed to resemble some kind of idol-related object. The chainguns are shaped like loudhailers, the Missile Pods look like - and can function as - Speakers and the railguns are hidden in the index fingertips of the mech’s hands. The missiles she uses have had an unjustifiably large amount of research and money pumped into them to ensure that the dust clouds they leave behind are pink and heart-shaped. It should be noted that the bullets fired by the chainguns emit a neon glow and look similar to glowsticks. Additionally, the skirt of her dress hides a number of beam rifles within its seams which draws energy from powercells hidden in the band of the skirt. The beam rifles are fastened to a corset-like metal structure under the skirt, and are fired manually, individually, by Symphony. By spinning around and flaring this skirt, the mech is able to create a veritable curtain of lasers around itself.

Speed: C. Aside from thrusters and the mobility provided by the ANGEL, the mech has a simplistic hover system that allows it to stay airborne for prolonged periods of time, but only up to an altitude of about a hundred meters off the ground.. Due to investment in servos, the mech moves at an average pace, but possesses a high degree of flexibility, coupled with a quick reaction time facilitated by the direct neural link.

Armor: F. It’s wearing a dress. Made of cloth. Actual cloth. Not reinforced steel-lined cloth. Just cloth. Its exoskeleton offers minimal protective capabilities, just enough to keep the machine’s parts from being torn apart by pressure differentials and debris, but not enough to stop a high-calibre round. The dress it wears is purely aesthetic, with no defensive capabilities whatsoever.

ANGEL Statistics:
Fire Power: C
The ANGEL is armed with a number of cannons recessed into the main body and concentrated on the nose, with one on each of the wingtips as well. Each one is rather low-powered, but they are large in number. It also possesses a laser on the nose, but power must be diverted from all other weapons in addition to the thrusters to fire it.
Speed: A
A streamlined design and efficient powerplant along with the fact that the ANGEL possesses the ability to reconfigure its six wings at-will creates high maneuverability and speed, coupled with a large amount of redundancy in the structures responsible for maintaining such. (Basically, up to a certain point, damage to the wings just doesn’t really slow the craft down as the loss in thrust/etc is offset by a loss in mass, unless they’re somehow crippled without being straight blown off.
Hacking: F
The ANGEL is not equipped with hacking systems due to design constraints making it highly impractical to equip them.
Repairf

: C

The ANGEL possesses a reconstruction matrix operated in part by using parts of the main laser to focus and direct energy. It records a template of the GUARDIAN in an intact state and attempts to match the physical mech to the template by reconfiguring the mass and attempting to collect it from the environment. It is excellent at returning damaged systems to full operation, but very slow at rebuilding armor plating. It is also somewhat inflexible; while it will make a perfect repair given time, it is not good at quick patches.

Blackseed ANGEL of BLACK FOX

Player: Kurotsune
Name: Blackseed
Race: Michi
Gender: Female
Age: 30
Appearance: Somewhat of an oddball among her kind, Blackseed has an uncommonly large and broad build, standing two meters tall with a large, amazon-like body. The woman is covered with muscles, going slightly past being simply "toned" and being downright muscular - Although her body isn't so large as to impede her speed or agility. She has long, belly-button lenght jet black hair, with two jet black ears potruding from the top of her head. Her eyes are of a piercing yellow color and seem almost permanently half-closed, giving her resting expression an air of constant boredom.
She has fairly pale skin, with two large scars covering her lower abdomen, forming a slight cross near the lower-right side. Her hands possess elongated nails, that are cut like daggers, and adorned with metallic linings that give them a cutting edge.
The woman commonly sports a normal black tank-top shirt with dark blue jeans. She wears fingerless gloves in both hands, and doesn't wear any kind of footwear.
Equipment: Blackseed normally wears a shield belt on her person at all times for whenever she's not currently using her power armor.
In all other situations, however, the woman dons a set of heavy power armor, completely painted black, with the symbol of a pitch-black panther covering the machine's chest. The visor is blood-red and the lanters also emit this blood-red color. The power armor comes equipped with a large, heavy-duty minigun that shoots high-impact bullets, specifically designed for light infantry. The weapon is nearly useless against heavier power armor or mechs, and can be detached for manual control / weight decrease if the user decides this to be necessary.
Background:
Where was she? She screamed. She could feel the pain, every last part of it. She could feel the needles entering her skin, she could feel her own bones shifting and crumbling under their own weight. As the haze of pain subsided, she remember who she was. She was a Panther.
People assume too much. They think that because the Michi are a peaceful race, that they have no enemies. That they do not invest in protection. They're wrong. It wasn't soon after they met the other races that the Michi realized that to survive in these new times, a new mentality was needed. Thus, the covert PANTHER initiative was born.
Volunteer soldiers were submitted to brutal training and biological enhancements designed to put them at their peak condition, and build them into ideal bodyguards and elite soldiers. Blackseed volunteered almost unwillingly; Her father, Barkseed, headed the project. It was a show of his faith in his success that led him to have his own daughter submit her previously frail and lithe body to the torture that PANTHER was more than happy to provide.
Over time, she grew, in every sense of the word. Her senses sharpened, and so did her mind. Her body became stronger, and the training suddenly didn't feel as tiring. She was faster, smarter, stronger, and had nearly ten years of training behind her.
And then it all ended.
Due to a leak, project PANTHER was discovered by the general population and immediately branded as a inhumane, cruel project. Due to deniability clauses the project was abandoned to die on it's own, Barkseed disgraced and marked merely an eccentric cientist trying to make his fame.
In the wake of her family's disgrace, Blackseed saw herself without any other chance than to take whatever was left of the military gear they were provided and take to the stars, in hope of recovering her family's good graces through her own merit, in spite of her father's perceived lack thereof.
Basic Personality:
Objective, sincere, jokester, determined, generous.

Millennium GUARDIAN of BLACK FOX

Player: K_H

Name: Millennium

Race: Nienian

Gender: Self-Assigned Male.

Age: 110 years since his Re-activation

Appearance: Millennium chooses to be covered with Varnished Copper Plates on the outside, and looks very similar to a Terran in design, but chooses to retain triangular ears on top of his head and a cat-like snout because he encountered the Michi first. His Occular Inputs glow a steely-blue color, and are located where eyes are located on organic humanoids.

Equipment: Millennium has a built-in Railgun that is part of his right forearm, and his Hand can fold outwards to allow him to aim and fire it. It can make quite the dent in Shield Belts, but it isn't very effective against Spaceships or Mechs, since it's too small to launch big enough Projectiles to do so. He stores the Projectiles internally, and loads them through his upper arm. Additionally, he can only use solid projectiles in it.

He also uses a set of Cobalt-plated Heavy Power Armor as additional shielding on top of his Copper Plating, should he need more power. This Power Armor has developed a deep blue tinge to it from the slow oxidation of the Cobalt Plating by the Solar Wind during his period of hiding in the Asteroid Belt. The visor is tinted a lighter blue, and the Lanterns also emit the same sky-blue color. For armaments, the Power Armor is equipped with a small Missile Launcher that is quite effective against Power Armors of both varieties, but it's not very effective against Ships or Mechs.

Background: One of the first few Nienians to be re-activated, Millennium was among the group that made First Contact with the Michi, and gave himself the name "Millennium" because he took a liking to the concept of time shortly after his re-activation, and he first took on a look that was similar to a Michian in order to fit in. After he and the other Nienians helped the Michi to operate their Colony on Nienia for about two years, Millennium decided to set out to see the other Races that were out there, as his Personality Algorithm contained a few lines of code for the trait of curiosity. One of the Races he encountered were the Terrans, who showed him the power of the Helios Reactor Technology. Impressed by the Terrans' Technology, he took on a form similar to them that retained some of his Michi Features, and requested to work for them. The Terrans consented, and Millennium was grateful for this gesture.

However, this peaceful period of time would be cut short when the Michi City of Talleaf was destroyed. At that point, He and his co-workers agreed that it would be best for him if he went into hiding. They got him a Shuttle Ticket to the Stations, and he then travelled to the nearest Armor Shop. The shop had a set of Power Armor, which he purchased. He then headed to the Asteroid Belt, where he hid inside of an asteroid from that point onwards. In order to fend off Terrorists and Pirates, he upgraded himself, installing a small Railgun in his arm to use as a method of defense.

Eventually, times changed, and the Terrorists were defeated after a war. When the Resource-rich System was discovered, Millennium came back out of hiding and applied to the Mercenary Group, hoping to make an example for the other Nienians to look up to by helping to explore the unexplored regions of Space.

Heavensea ANGEL of Sol Sourire

Player: King Murdoc
Name: Heavensea
Race: Michi
Gender: Yes
Age: 24
Appearance: She has dark brown hair with a slight bluish-purple tinge to it that shows more prominently when the light catches it. This comes down to about her waist and is tied at the nape of her neck with a simple red ribbon. Her ears are somewhat large and are rather expressive, contrasting her relative lack of facial expression in most situations. (She tends to default to a neutral expression that many have described as vaguely sorrowful.) Her facial features have a sort of vague aristocratic beauty about them, though some simply think she looks rather plain. Her left eye is a similar deep blue/purple color to her hair, with her right being a much lighter, if otherwise similar, blue. She wears a somewhat modified version of a miko's uniform, with a pair of red hakama (basically big pants if you're not a weeb like me) and a white haori modified so that the legs and sleeves, respectively, can be pulled tighter if needed. The garments are also cut to accommodate her tails.
Equipment: For armor, she employs a simple shield belt, finding even LPA to be somewhat restrictive and uncomfortable. The belt fits underneath her clothes (those being rather billowy and loose-fitting), so she occasionally fastens it there if necessary.

Her weapon of choice is a naginata that at first glance appears to be a relic, if a fairly simple and unadorned one. However, the shaft is made of a lightweight and strong composite material many times stronger than the dark wood it resembles, and the blade is in two parts; a core of GLORIOUS NIPPON STEEL high-grade alloy and an outer shell of ultra-hard ceramic that forms an incredibly sharp blade. (She also owns a couple backups of this in the event it shatters.) She's also a fair shot with a pistol she usually keeps concealed in the folds of her clothing somewhere, though she considers the weapon to be "inelegant."
Background: Heavensea's family was native to Thov, but moved to Terra when she was very young due to financial reasons; some distant relations (she has a fair degree of human blood in her ancestry) owned a small but modestly successful company, and invited them to travel there for employment. They lived in the region formerly known as Japan, and she picked up a few of the traditions that were still going strong as she grew up there. She also picked up the accent in small part, blending it with the tones of Thov. This is also where she acquired most of her combat proficiency; despite her distaste for combat, she enjoyed the physical and mental exercises of martial arts. Her attire came from a part-time job she took growing up; though somewhat rare, Shinto shrines still persisted into the modern day. She simply liked the clothing and adopted it when she left home.

She took up lucrative mercenary work out of necessity; the family business wasn't enough to afford the treatments necessary to keep her aging grandfather alive. Early experiences with this sort of work is where she learned how to pilot the GUARDIAN/ANGEL system, along with some practical combat experience (including fending off some unwanted advances from some of the more uncouth mercs.) Unfortunately, during this time, her grandfather rapidly deteriorated and he passed away, leaving nothing behind but the debts accrued in the vain attempts at preserving his life. The job with the Kyle Mercenaries promised to pay much more than her current employment, and so she followed the offer of recruitment in order to pay these - or so she says.
Basic Personality: Rather subservient; she'd much prefer to follow directions than give them, and enjoys helping people out even with seemingly petty tasks. Tends to be rather self-depreciating. Values her family greatly. Actually rather adverse to violence; she'll usually attempt to find a peaceful solution, though she's smart enough to realize a situation is hopeless in that regard.

Symphony GUARDIAN of Sol Souriere

Player: Acquiescence/Mechanical Lily

Name: Symphony
Race: Nienien
Gender: AI, but identifies as female.
Age: Awoken for 17 years

Appearance: Small. About 153cm in height. Looks for all intents and purposes like an average 15 year old Terran girl, except covered in a metallic coating. Her skin is completely chrome metal, unblemished and gleaming. Her eyes - two teardrop-shaped protrusions on her face - glow a deep, vivid white. She has a long, malleable mass of metal attached to her head, designed to mimic hair tied into a ponytail with bangs. At the point where the ponytail would normally be tied, she wears a palm-sized bright pink hair adornment in the shape of a heart. A headset-like protrusion crowns her head, occupying the area where a Terran's ears would be.

On her face she has no nose or mouth, with her voice carried by microscopic speakers near her chin, set into her metallic skin. With no mouth or nose, she usually expresses her emotions through changing the shape of her eyes. She usually wears Terran-style dresses, depending on her mood. She also carries a handheld microphone stored in a compartment on her right foreleg.

Equipment: She usually wears a Shield Belt, as anything else would be difficult to hide under her other, cuter garments. As for weaponry, she unabashedly wields a high level of heavy ordnance. Due to her obsession with idols, most of her equipment either looks like or doubles as stage props. Her main weapon is a white assault rifle, fully automated and optimised for medium-calibre ballistic rounds. It also possesses a secondary sniper mode, where each bullet has to be manually chambered, but all the gas normally drawn for the automated fire is instead expended on each bullet, more than doubling their force, velocity and range. The rifle's primary aiming method is via a sensor installed where the scope would normally be, giving information such as gravity level, wind speed, wind direction and weather conditions directly to Symphony through the neural interface. Additionally, this rifle is able to be converted into a microphone stand. The microphone stored in her right foreleg has an inbuilt amplifier and mixer, which Symphony can control via a neural interface. Additionally, by pointing the rear end of the microphone at a target and singing into it, the microphone can emit four different frequencies of sound waves, designed to disorient or knock out Terrans, Michi, Snow Yousei and Flame Yousei respectively, depending on the setting. Her heart-shaped hair adornment can be converted into a handgun for close-ranged gunfighting, while also capable of glowing in the dark. She possesses a single large set of dual speakers which, in addition to music, can generate EMP waves and fire missiles if required. That said, due to the weight of the item, she rarely brings it with her, unless she has a concert.

Background: Symphony's first contact was a concert. Without realising her presence, a production company had built a temporary stage atop Symphony's sleeping place. She was slumbering in her core form, asleep for who knows how long, until one day, she awoke to a huge cacophony of sound and shouting. She had no idea what was going on, except that it was exciting, there were a lot of people, and all the people were smiling. And that sight entranced her. The sight of all these people, chanting, laughing, smiling, cheering, all for a single Terran female on a stage in a colony. It was a beautiful, bewitching sight. From there, she knew what she wanted to do. She was a Nienian, so she had an innate desire to serve. But how else could she serve so many people at once, granting them joy and hope, than by doing what she had just witnessed? She decided. She would become like that Terran woman on the stage. Looking around, she noticed a single word, "SYMPHONY", emblazoned across the top of the stage. Not quite knowing how to read it, she committed the writing to memory. Over time, she shaped her base body shape to resemble the woman on the stage, but chose not to adopt a more organic appearance, out of personal preference.

Over time, as she wandered through the colonies and learned the language, she discovered the concept of a "name", and took the writing she had committed to memory, "SYMPHONY", as her name. By speaking to other Nienians who had been awake for longer, she learned that the woman on stage that day was known as an "idol". And that was the day her obsession with idols was born.

She picked up small, part-time jobs and performed them for a while, using her earnings to buy books and articles about idols and the production process behind them, and quickly realised a major problem: to become an idol, one needed to be produced. To get a producer, one needed to be scouted. From the records, it seemed that many people wanted to be idols, and most applicants in auditions were accomplished in some other field - at least, more accomplished than a Nienian that had been awake for barely two years. If she wanted to become a well-known idol loved by all, who could bring smiles to the faces of as many people as possible, she would have to self-produce.

And therein lied the rub: It cost money to self-produce. A decent amount. Far more than she would ever make from her current part-time jobs. And that was when she discovered the immensely profitable field of mercenary work. It paid well and promised a constant flow of work, albeit with a high level of risk. She happened to come across a small company offering a place to anyone who could hold their own in combat. With nothing to lose, she decided to give it a try; her "audition", of sorts.

As it turned out, Symphony was terrible at close combat. She kept trying to make her knife attacks flashier and cuter, and ended up exposing a multitude of weak points. However, her aptitude at range was far beyond extraordinary. By synchronising the aiming mechanisms with her internal systems and applying the relevant calculations, she was able to shoot targets from beyond maximum effective range with pinpoint accuracy. Seeing this, the company immediately took her on.

As the years passed, Symphony hopped from company to company, looking for the one which offered higher wages. Over this time, she learned briefly how to interface with the ANGEL system on several occasions, with her remarkable marksmanship and tendency to job-hop earning her the nickname of "The Three-month Sniper" within the mercenary industry. Throughout it all, she made sure every cent of her pay went to her dream, either to be saved up to self-produce, or for materials on idols: the latest trends, the top charts, the top music, the greatest scandals.

When she was required by her job to purchase her own equipment, she was rather troubled. Buying weaponry meant taking away money that could be used to fund her career. Then it came to her: Order weapons which can double as stage equipment. And that is particularly what she did. She saved a year's worth of pay to purchase the rifle, then spent three years of pay on the speaker set. The microphone and handgun-hairclip she paid for in installments over time.

For Symphony, the Kyte Mercenaries are just another higher-paying mercenary company - the highest paying yet. Plus, if the riches they promised came to fruition, her dream would be in reach. That alone, was more than enough for her.

Basic Personality: Genki(energetic or lively), Pragmatic, Passionate, Straightforward, Earnest

Reggi, GUARDIAN of Artemis

Player: rustytengo
Name: Reginald “Reggi” Thompson
Race: Terran,
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Appearance: stands about six feet tall and about hundred and thirty pounds with a slim build. He has shaggy dirty blond hair and dull blue eyes and keeps his face clean shaven. He normally wears a pair of nice blue jeans, a pair of black tennis shoes, with a red t-shirt under a loose white jacket.

Equipment: Reggi normally uses light power armor for battle unless he’s not prepared or expecting any, then he relies on his personal shield belt that he keeps under his clothes. His armor is blueish grey and has his personal logo(a bucks head with rope holding many different things hanging from the antlers) on it. He normally carries a combat shotgun that use the shockwave type bullets to cause more damage within an atmosphere into battle with a detachable bayonet on the front that he can use as a knife. The bayonet is made with a very rare alloy that can generate its own electrical charge. He also has a .44 which has been modified so it can shoot explosive rounds as a side arm or when he doesn’t feel like being up close and personal.

Background Reggi is the oldest child of the Thompson family who run one of the biggest resources gathering and colonization companies on Earth. After getting tutoring from his family Reggi went to Lawareen Academy to learn how to pilot the GUARDIAN/ANGEL mechs having a preface for the GUARDIAN side of them and ground combat. After graduating form the Academy he joined his families’ private security force, where he was sent on missions to defend his families’ interests around the galaxy. After a few years of that he began to get board with the same old things his family sent him on so he decided to take his own jobs on the side. Eventually leaving his families’ security force along with his sister and working as a mercenary not for the money but for the adventure, though he still is on friendly terms with his family, and works closely with if he can. His family after hearing about the discovery of the new solar systems paid the Kyle Mercenaries a hefty sum to take him and his sister on as pilots so they could have someone watch over their interests in the area.

Basic Personality: Adventurous, lazy, sarcastic, quick, adaptable.

Mira, ANGEL of Artemis

Player: Hiss13

Name: Mira Thompson

Race: Terran

Gender: Cute grill? Most definitely

Age: 22

Appearance: Mira stands at 5'8" with a relatively athletic build, a modest chest (something she does not enjoy being pointed out), and light skin. She has stomach-length red hair that is usually left in a relatively messy state near her scalp though the rest of her hair is straight. She has blue eyes as well as freckles on her face. Her default expression is one that makes her look like she is in the midst of planning something out of mischief.

When she is out of her power armor, her outfit of choice is a red hoodie (with a white rabbit emblem near the chest) with dark gray mid-length sleeves over a gray t-shirt along with a pair of gray sweatpants with white stripes on either legs and a pair of black knee-high boots.

Equipment:

Mira's preferred armor is a power armor that uses the same color scheme as her sweatshirt. Her armor is almost entirely red with the exception of gray limbs and a white rabbit emblem near her chest.

Her armor comes equipped with two main weapons. The first is a foldable metallic-coated Friuli Spear with a blade made of durable reinforced alloys that can emit heat through the edge of the blade. The other is a pistol called a shockwave gun. It uses a special type of bullet that had a special groove pattern on the head, allowing for the damage to multiply in an atmospheric environment.

Background:

The Thompson family has long since been in charge of the Ghost Rain Conglomerate, a large entity that holds a huge share within the industry for colonization and resource gathering. After a basic education from the family at home, Mira was sent off to learn ground combat and ANGEL piloting at an esteemed institution for up and coming GUARDIAN and ANGEL pilots.

She eventually graduated from the institution as one of the top ANGEL pilots of her year. She eventually returned to her brother's side as his corresponding ANGEL pilot due to how close they generally were. As such, she took up multiple jobs on her parents request along with her older brother to protect the company's assets and interests.

Like her older brother, she had grown tired of simply doing jobs that fell under the interest of the company and took multiple side-jobs to the point where she and her brother were eventually doing more work on their own terms than they were for the company. As they realized this, they eventually split off from the company (on good terms) to become more independent and do various freelance mercenary jobs as they built up an odd reputation.

Eventually, the parents, through less than clean connections, let information about Kyle Mercenaries' new job exploring a new solar system slip to their children. Needless to say, Mira was quite excited to adventure into an unknown area and leaped on the prospect quite quickly. In the end, the pay was not too important. The unknown was waiting for her, after all.

Mechs!

BLACK FOX

Repair: C

The ANGEL possesses a reconstruction matrix operated in part by using parts of the main laser to focus and direct energy. It records a template of the GUARDIAN in an intact state and attempts to match the physical mech to the template by reconfiguring the mass and attempting to collect it from the environment. It is excellent at returning damaged systems to full operation, but very slow at rebuilding armor plating. It is also somewhat inflexible; while it will make a perfect repair given time, it is not good at quick patches.

Why did you spoil the Plot of SWEVII...

Also, Reserved.

[EDIT]: Character Accepted, am now putting the Profile in this Post.

Basic Personality: Calm, Calculating, Curious, Observant, and Kind.

Same. I'll try to get mine up in the next few days or so...

...Good thing that I saw the movie before I saw that...

Edit: The character has been accepted. That being said, I'll put the profile here as well.

Player: Komodojoe (as of right now, anyways. I'll edit this part if I do end up changing it.)

Name: Alma Collins

Race: Terran

Gender: Female

Age: 28

Appearance: Standing at a height of 5'10 with skin that's close to a pale white, Alma has a build with a balance well enough to look like she has muscle, but can still come across as feminine and ladylike when she tries to. She has red hair that goes about halfway down her neck, along with bangs that tend to curl up as if to keep her eyebrows visible. Her bright brown eyes made her look like she was either calm or in a joyful mood quite often, even when she had something on her mind. She is often seen wearing a red t-shirt with a gray vest, a pair of jeans and red shoes along with a pair of sunglasses on her head during the day.

Equipment: Alma wears gauntlets on her hands that are modified with technology similar to that of the shield belt, being suited for both offensive and defensive roles. That being said, they're practically useless against those using shield belts, but they can hit those with Power Armor and LPA pretty hard because of the way that the gauntlets react to the weight behind the armor and the force behind her swing, but attacking the former has a higher recoil which sometimes causes her to stagger, again, due to the reaction of the gauntlets. However, it doesn't do much against the mechs themselves unless you were to hit a vital spot. In addition to her gauntlets, she also carries a weapon that she refers to as her "Heavy Automatic Machine Gun", or "H.A.M.G." for short (though she often leaves out the G). As the name implies, it's a heavy assault weapon that has a high rate of fire and a large ammo capacity, but it also takes a while to reload. While one shot doesn't really count for much compared to other weapons, one might say that the large hail of bullets that follows the first does more than enough to compensate for it.

As far as armor goes, she's usually seen wearing Light Power Armor that's painted silver with red lines going down the sides. While her gauntlets are used in place the armor around her hands and forearm, they actually pair well with the armor itself, making for a good replacement. The helmet part of her LPA is paired with a red visor that adapts to the light levels of her surroundings. Not to mention that it matches the rest of her armor. When she isn't using her LPA, she tends to run around with an average shield belt, but she can't really use her gauntlets with it since they end up bouncing off her own shield when she tries to punch something (hence why she prefers using her LPA instead).

Background: Living on a frigate for most of her childhood, Alma grew up with just her father, who worked as a GUARDIAN/ANGEL engineer for a smaller, less known group known as the Nebula Mercenaries. She had taken an interest in her father's profession from an early age. At first, Alma just kept taking peeks every once in a while just to see how much has been worked on and changed, then it evolved to a curiosity of how it goes from being all beaten up to looking new again. Despite her interest, it wasn't until she was at the age of eleven before she said anything to her father, who was both surprised and overjoyed. At first, she couldn't fully understand the mechanics, so they had decided that she should learn to work with other weapons and armor first. It wasn't until she was seventeen that she became as skilled and efficient as he was. It wasn't long after that she became known as one of the best engineers and a valuable asset to the Nebula Mercenaries. Her interest didn't stop there, however. Alma knew how they worked. Now, she wanted to learn how to use one. She had to pull quite a few strings, but she finally managed to convince someone who was close to the both of them to teach her to become a pilot.

The Nebula Mercenaries had made quite a name for themselves since then, taking on jobs and contracts in many forms. From delivery jobs to being bodyguards, and everything in between. They took every job that they could handle. Alma was twenty two years old now, and she felt like she was, in an old Terran term, on top of the world. Unfortunately, that's when things took a turn for the worst. During one of their escort missions, the mercs had come across a group of pirates who wanted their employers out of the picture. This had quickly turned into an all-out firefight. The mercenaries had won and they had finished their job shortly afterwards. What the mercenaries didn't know was that this group of pirates belonged to a larger faction. Once these pirates had learned of their comrades' demise, they made the group a big target. It wasn't long afterwards that the mercs were ambushed by this ruthless group. The Nebula Mercenaries were outnumbered, outgunned, and were completely trapped. Having no other choice, they decided to fight. The mercenaries put up a good fight, but it wasn't nearly enough for them to win. The pirates boarded the frigate and started killing everyone they could find. Knowing this was a losing fight, both Alma and her father made their way to the escape pods, constantly being chased as they went. they reached the pods to find out that there was only one left. The pirates weren't far behind them. Before Alma could even begin to figure out what to do next, her father makes the executive decision to shove her right into the pod and close the hatch. Her last memory of the Nebula Mercenaries, along with her father, was staring back at the frigate as it seemed to slowly drift away. It seemed to get smaller and smaller... until it disappeared into the vast emptiness that the stars themselves belonged to.

Now all alone with nothing but her weapons and both the clothes and the LPA on her back, Alma had remained a hired gun, still taking jobs like she always had. She had become too well adapted to this way of living to take a more stable job now. It's not like she ever wanted to trade her gun for a spatula, anyways. Mercenary work was way more interesting since it wasn't always the same routine. The next six years went by as Alma tried to strive forward without losing herself in the process. However, the problem at the moment wasn't the future, but the present. She was barely scraping by while trying to find a job with decent pay... until she came across the Kyle Mercenaries, who have promised to pay a large sum of money for her service. She hesitated at first, as this was the first time that she was a part of a group since the Nebula Mercenaries, but ultimately decided to sign up since she felt that she had no other choice. She prepares herself for the journey to come, hoping to live up to the name that she had all those years ago...

Basic Personality: Friendly, honest, serious, focused (a little too much at times), determined

Pyon, I know that Plasma Sabers definitely would have been invented even before World War 3, seeing as the Tech we would need will realistically be available to us IRL around the year 2050. My question is to whether or not Helios Reactors have been Miniaturized.

lolno

we're not even CLOSE to that kind of technology, the power needs and how unstable such a weapon would be make them vastly impractical for at least the next twenty years, if not much longer. There would have to be significant and largely unprecedented advances in material quality in order to get plasma weaponry in any form by 2050.

*points to Plasma Cutters and clears his throat*

There's your Plasma Weapon's seed. We merely need to make advances in Carbon Nanotubes and Heat-resistant Ceramics in order to get Plasma Swords. Michio Kaku himself actually said that Plasma Swords are within our reach. Besides, i wasn't referring to Plasma Guns. those would require many more years.

well, plasma weapons might be practical in THIS universe, but in real life the kind of power needs that weapon would require would be entirely impractical, not to mention other things like needing to wear protective eyewear that would prevent you from seeing properly on a battlefield.

We only need to consider the feasibility for this RP, not for Real Life. Besides, you merely need to not look at it directly in order to not be blinded.

Helios Reactors have not been miniaturized. The infinite energy system kind of uses a miniature star so it's not a very easy thing to make even smaller.

However, lightsabers do exist. There are lightsabers as you know them, working through a crystal prism. However: these are pretty damn expensive so the part where I talked about explaining why you have laser equipment comes into play here.

The more commonly used version of swords are swords with laser edges.

They look a lot like this

Overwatch-First-Trailer-7.jpg

Since only the edges are made of laserz, they are a lot more energy efficient and cheaper.

Adding my profile here so that anyone who's interested in partnering up can let me know:

PS: This profile has already been approved, I'm just posting it here so other players can look it up.
