Cobalt996 10
In Obsidia Ward, after teaming up with Cain, I fought some Meteor Grunts, and KO'd a Lairon with the splash damage from Flame Burst. However, even though its health bar was emptied, the sprite, name, and health bar all lingered until the end of the battle, the sprite staying all the way through the Meteor Grunts' defeat lines. Other notes: I have not been able to replicate this due to not being in a situation where an opposine Pokemon had low enough health to be KO'd by Flame Burst's effect with the ally AI not immediately killing it. Secondly, the lingering sprite was that specific Meteor Grunt's final Pokemon, so I do not know if it would still occur if a Pokemon were swapped in afterward.
mde2001 236
I could be wrong but I don't think that this one is a known issue. Thanks for reporting it. I had a go at replicating it but as you said the circumstances are quite hard to replicate so I didn't have too much luck there. I'll continue to try and I'll edit this post if I can actually replicate it.
Cobalt996 10
Replicated it... kinda. Scraggy/Scrafty fight in slums, hit the LEFT Scraggy with Flame Burst (not the splash damage) KO'd, and... well... No, hitting the other Scraggy did not result in Scrafty being similarly rendered. Also, the health bar left on KO, as per routine, unlike the first circumstance. ...Time to force splash damage KO on stuff.
DashingStorm 3
I'm.. Pretty sure the Scraggy fight has had it's fair amount of bugs and glitches when it came to sprites, I'm also fairly convinced that the Flame Burst glitch has been known for a while, as per wall o' bugs list. Edit: Okay it's not on the wall o' bug list, but I was certain I've seen this pop up before.
Cobalt996 10
Unlike the Scraggy fight, this is what "normally" happens when splash damage makes something faint. Flame burst hits, splash damage text, then exp text. Probably just not reacting to a non-target, non-user Pokemon fainting.
Administrators Amethyst 2469 Posted December 14, 2015 Administrators Share Posted December 14, 2015 This -should- be on the list because I knew about it before. Doesn't look like it is, so I'll note it down. Thanks.
