[Resolved] Problem with IV`s and Destiny Knot....

Hey everyone! :]

Please close or delete this topic if this is already solved somewhere and I just missed it, but ihave a problem with the breeding because normally when you breed with Destiny Knot should get 5 IV`s from the Poke holding it right?

I wanted too breed a corphish ,IVs are: 1/19/9/1/14/13, with my Ditto 14/29/30/28/15/31 holding the Destiny Knot....

Now the first egg I hatch had this IVs: 1/29/9/1/4/31 ????

Is that a bug or is that correct? It had the two IVs i desired most, but since my Ditto was holding Destiny Knot shouldn`t the other Ivs be better too? Or can it still take IVs from the Poke not holding anything?

I started doing breeding not long ago so I`m pretty new to this :]

Would be cool if i could get some help from u guys :]

The five IVs are actually taken at random from 12 IVs of both parents combined, not single parent IVs, perhaps you may try breeding more of them until you obtain the most desirable IV combo~and for convenience sake, you can put magmar or slugma with abilities magma armour or flame body into your party, i hatched my desired ralts by this method when i wasnt doing the major storyline on spare time, they speed up the hatching by cutting step requirement for hatching into half~
