Unexplained lag

Hey there, no time no post ;)

I'm having unexplained lag, downloaded a fresh copy of Reborn and started again (as I no longer have my EP 9 saves). Back then I had a really shit graphics cards, I tell you, it couldn't do shit ennit....

Now I have a much uprated graphics card - Radeon R9 290X.

It happens mostly (mostly being 95% of the time) outdoors, though sometime it comes up indoors. is Reborn set on a specific FPS or something? it's horrible to play with the skipping...

Despite the name, I stopped using Linux recently; here's the specs...

Win 7 64

AMD FX 8 core @ 4.5GHz

SSD some fucking model

16GB DDR3 1600

Radeon R9 290X, 3GB

Running the game with the largest UI.

For the most part it isn't really your computer but the engine the game is running.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm assuming the very detailed environments cause severe slowdown that the engine can't really handle and created the need to add gates to most of the wards and to Route 2. Previously Reborn city used to be one big area and Route 2 used to be a part of Agate Circus.

Despite the gates, some areas still have lag to them but not as severe as before.

also, are you running reborn with other apps on (browsers, other games, etc) cause reborn uses memory, and its much more laggier with other apps on than without!

my suggestion, is if your runnning other apps with reborn, is to close those apps and just play! trust me, itll work! (or not, its just a theory)

my CPU is 4% running reborn dude, I'm not a noob... Just wondering if it's a problem with recent versions. IIRC lights used to be the issue, yet, weather system is too.

Progressing in the game, it's a lot less laggy, all those years back in EP 9 some problems did persist with lights/water/weather and also PC boxes as I pointed out, don't know if the PC boxes have been fixed or not though.

It tends to be a tiny bit laggy in the larger areas still, mostly because of the size of the maps the game has to render/load. Combined with the new weather system (which has been confirmed to cause lag in/around Opal Ward), I often have issues with minor lag as well. Don't fret, you're not the only one.

I'm not on a laptop.

This lag isn't tiny :D

checked CPU and GPU usage, GPU only using 384MB~ though occasional spikes in GPU and vMemory to 100%

CPU is 3 - 16%.

I've tweaked the file a little bit and manage to rid of some lag also running it in mid window size helps a lot. Now I got to sit pretty much infront a 55" to see what it's saying -.-
