The Ability is what makes it transform and return back to normal. Changing the Ability with Worry Seed or even Skill Swap will mean it'll stay in the flower-shape until it's switched out or if the battle ends. Link to post Share on other sites

Actually, taken from this page: Generation V Flower Gift now changes Cherrim from Overcast Form to Sunshine Form during intense sunlight. If Cherrim loses Flower Gift or Flower Gift is suppressed with Gastro Acid, it will revert to its Overcast Form. Essentials stuff? It didn't change in Gen VI, so Gen V is what stands right now. I tried to forcefully surpress Flower Gift with Gastro Acid whilst the sun was up and Cherrim transformed to Sunshine form- It kept Cherrim in Sunshine form. :[ Link to post Share on other sites
